"Savannah, you're here."
"Ms. Ramsay, I'm sorry to disturb you. I'm here to serve some dessert for you and Abner. Oh, by the way...there's also some drinks!" Savannah said absent-mindedly, with a plate in her hand.
"Thank you. I'll take it over." When Amelia took over the plate, she noticed that Savannah had cried. She could not help but slightly frowned.
Amelia did not expect that Uncle Quartley, who was always so gentle, could actually cause someone to cry by just scolding.
After handing over the plate, Savannah looked up slightly and glanced at Abner in the room.
Seeing that he was fine, she nodded at Amelia and said, "Ms. Ramsay, then I'll leave first."
Amelia said as if she did not notice anything, "Alright, leave here to me."
After Savannah left, Amelia closed the door with her other hand and turned back to put the food in front of Abner. Then she said, "Dessert time is up. Go and wash your hands."
Abner stared at the door and mumbled, "She looks a little... weird."
Amelia looked away from the cookies and turned to Abner, "You mean Savannah?"
Abner nodded.
Amelia rolled her eyes and asked with her usual tone, "Hey, let me ask you. Did Savannah work for your father and you from the beginning?"
In the Quartley family, it would be only Abner that were willing to tell her the truth.
Hearing this, Abner shook his head and said, "No, Savannah used to...work for grandpa and granny."
Amelia recalled and found what Abner said was the same as what Savannah had told her before.
This made her even more convinced that Abner was a trustworthy child.
But on the surface, she still pretended to be ignorant and asked, "Is that so? Then why did she come to the Nine Streams? Was it your grandparents who sent her here to help out?"
It seemed like Abner happened to understand what he could know although he was young. "Savannah came...on her own free will. Granny... tried to persuade her to stay at first."
In that case, Savannah had a good relationship with Andrea as master and servant. However, the relationship between her and Uncle Quartley was somewhat intriguing.
Abner finally found something wrong after answering Amelia for a long time. "Amelia... Why do you ask?"
Amelia answered casually, "No, I just want to know your family structure after knowing you for so long."
Abner said, "Ah!" He was so excited that he stumbled, "You asked...so many questions... Is it that you want to marry...my...my father?"
Amelia felt speechless. "Oh my. Why do you think of this again? I've told you it's impossible. Let's eat cookies."
Abner was angry and refused to eat.
Amelia passed the cookies to him, but he still refused to eat it.
Amelia looked at him with amusement and said, "Didn't you said that you're going to hate me?"
"If you marry...my father, surely I won't...hate you anymore." Abner could well differentiate between love and hate.
"Oh, then you'd better hate me."
As soon as Amelia finished speaking, she put a cookie into her mouth heartlessly and chose to ignore Abner's chubby angry face.
At 5:00 pm, Amelia noticed that it was about time, so she ended her class with Abner.
Before leaving, she pretended to ask inadvertently, "Abner, are you bored of staying on this island every day?"
This place was surrounded by mountains and water, as well as an independent residence. It was not too much to call it a paradise. However, from Amelia's wording, it became a countryside.
Amelia was just bullying Abner, who had troubles to be outspoken. If it were any other member of the Quartley family, they would have cursed her to death.
Seeing Abner frowned and looked at her in disagreement, Amelia stood up from the ground and said indifferently, "What? Are you not willing? Forget it if you're not willing. I'm going home then, bye."
"Wait a minute!" Abner panicked. "I...I'll tell...dad!"
"OK, then I'll be waiting for you."
Amelia, who succeeded in abducting Abner, put on a sly smile.
She had thought about it. Compared to be on this devil island every weekend and faced Sawyer, it would be better for her to tempt Abner to her territory. In this way, the person she had to face would only be a child.
But the premise was that Abner was able to persuade Sawyer.
To play safe, Amelia squatted down again and taught Abner some sweet words to Sawyer. She encouraged Abner, "You have to say it out with your true feelings. Don't say that I taught you, or it will ruin our agreement."
Abner listened to Amelia attentively and nodded to her heavily.
After coming out of Abner's room, Amelia turned around and saw a maid passing by. She stopped the maid and asked politely, "Hello, do you know where your master is?"
Hearing Amelia inquiring about Sawyer, the maid's face flashed with a hint of ambiguity before she said respectfully, "Ms. Ramsay, I only know that Mr. Quartley isn't in this villa right now."
Amelia believed firmly, "You're living here. I believe that there must be a way for you to help me find him!"
The maid said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Ms.
Ramsay. I don't have Mr. Quartley's phone number. If you want to see him, I'm afraid that you might need to go through all the villas one at a time."
