Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1236

It took Patrick less than three seconds from picking up the wine bottle and cracking it on Mr. Quade's head. At that moment, no one was able to process what had happened all in a sudden.

A few moments later.

The manager who was pinning Amelia's hands to her back all this while was the first to come back to his senses. He let go of her hands before he turned around and held Mr. Quade who was already covered in blood. He cried out in panic, "Mr. Quade, are you all right?"

Before Amelia could process what had happened, she was carried away by Patrick from the table. In the next second, she realized that Patrick had already pulled her into his arms.

"Patrick..." Her voice was shaking agitatedly when she called out his name. He felt his heart aching for her when his gaze fell onto the tears that were rolling down her cheeks.

Patrick could hear Mr. Quade grunting in pain but all he knew was that he deserved more than one strike for what he had done!

Upon receiving the murderous stare from Patrick, the manager asked terrifyingly, "Mr. Quade, what should we do now?"

With one of his hand pressing against the the wound where blood was oozing out profusely, he hushed in frustration, "Are you asking the obvious? Rush me to the hospital now, you idiot!"

When Mr. Quade and his gang flee from the scene in a hurry, Jonathan went after them as he scolded, "A bunch of b*stards!"

Patrick shouted at Jonathan as he held Amelia in his arms, "There's no need to go after them!"

At that instance, Jonathan brought his steps into a halt. He tried to calm himself down before he turned around and said, "Thank you for today, Mr. Patrick."

Right after, Patrick gave him a brief nod before he swept a glance at Audrey and gestured him in direction of her, "You should go and check on her."

As soon as his gaze fell on Audrey, Jonathan could tell that she was not coping well with what had happened. He hurriedly came forward to comfort her.

As for Patrick, he lowered his gaze just to find out that Amelia was still trembling in his arms. Despite feeling pity for her, he scolded, "You deserved that!"

He once told her, she was just too dazzlingly beautiful, soft and delicate. In other words, her beauty was a major disadvantage if she were to be soft to others.

Everything was still under control in the past when she was still his wife. No matter how many men had laid their eyes on her, at least none of them dared to make any attempts, let alone raping her in public!

However, at this moment, almost everyone was convinced that she was a slut after they learnt of the rumor!

Without the protection from the Hopper Family, it was certain of a fact that she was going to be bullied by those ill-natured culprits.

What had happened today could have been avoided if Amelia did not insist in divorcing Patrick. At the thought of this, Patrick could not help but to lift her chin as he hushed, "Are you done crying? I should have left you alone here since I'm no one to you!"

"I'm sorry to have you stood up for me."

His words made her into realizing that they were no longer in a spouse relationship as before. Hence, she struggled to get rid of his embrace. However, she seemingly forgotten that her legs were still being tied up by the belt. Consequently, she almost fell onto the ground as a result of losing her balance.

Fortunately, Patrick eyes was on her all this while. As soon as he noticed that her body was falling forward, he immediately reached out and pulled her back into his arms again.

"I'm sorry!" Amelia tried to balance herself on her own feet before she apologized distantly again.

Amelia's apologies in a row had deeply annoyed Patrick. He needed to vent his anger to her right away irrespective of the means to achieve this purpose!

He mocked her while one of his arm was steadily holding her waist, "What's wrong with you, President Ramsay? Are you tired of escorting guests, that's why you can't even stand on your own feet now?"

Patrick was yet to recover from his anger when he heard such foolish questions coming out from Amelia’s mouth. He shot a glare at her as he hissed, "I'm not doing this for you, but for myself! You see, I've just caused Mr. Quade a severe head injury. If he were to file a lawsuit against me, I need this as an evidence to support my claim of innocence."

Feeling overwhelmed by a mixed feeling of guilt and shame, she murmured, "I'm just your ex-wife now. I don't think that's a valid reason to justify your assault..."

As he heard Amelia’s reply, Patrick raised his

eyebrows and said, "Why not we head to the town council tomorrow and register to be married? In that case I have valid reason in the eye of the law that I did this for my wife."

"You must be kidding me. Grandpa had already arranged you for a blind date." A hint of sorrow could be traced from her gloomy look as she said this.

Patrick was stunned for a second before he sneered, "Thanks for reminding me that I'm here for a blind date. Instead of being on the table, I'm wasting my time here for you!"

Amelia admitted that she was wounded by his words. She apologized, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have bothered you with such trivial matter. I'm the reason that you've been wasting your time here instead of spending it with your blind date."

At the sight of her reddened eyes and nose, Patrick could no longer bring himself to vent his anger at her. He comforted, "Fine! Stop sulking. You make me feel like I'm the one who is taking advantage of you..."

Just like any other ordinary men, Patrick admitted that he wanted to have her to himself so badly. However, that did not mean that he would ever let any other men lay a finger at Amelia. He swore to himself that he was going to make Mr. Quade pay for what he had done today!

Patrick cleared his throat before he lifted up one of her legs. He then said, "Does your leg hurt? Are you in pain now? Do you need me to massage them for you?"

Amelia bit her lips sheepishly After all, it was a dress that she wore for the night. As soon as he lifted her leg, he could see everything underneath her dress from his angle of view!

She hurriedly withdrew her leg from his hand and hushed, "No! I'm not in pain. Don’t you try..."
