Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1247

"Hey! It's okay. I've seen way many troublesome patients. I'm just afraid that she'll affect the other patients' rest while ruining her own health! Oh, why didn't I see Mr. Wright who came with you yesterday?"

Kimberley poked her head out as if Kaiden would pop out behind Amelia in the next second.

Amelia saw Kimberley's eyes lit up as soon as she mentioned about Kaiden so she smiled politely, "He has something to do today so he can't come over. Maybe next time..."

Kimberley's eyelids trembled and she quickly interrupted with a hollow smile, "Well! Amelia... I have other patients to take care of, so I'll have to go now!"

After Kimberley left, Amelia could not help but shrugged her shoulders. It was Kimberley who mentioned about Kaiden, yet she had ran away...

However, was it Patrick's words from the previous day that had made Kimberley felt sensitive?

As Amelia thought about Patrick, Mr Elliott's family of three automatically appeared in Amelia's mind. Just as she imagined, Kayla's young, vigorous and bright face appeared to be the clearest in her mind.

She was notorious for the divorce, yet Patrick could immediately go on a blind date with the mayor's youngest daughter after it.

Instead of saying that the society was unfair to Amelia, it was simpler to say that it was unfair to women.

Right at the moment...

"Ms. Ramsay, what's wrong with you?"

Amelia immediately came back to her senses and turned around to find Shawn looking at her with concern.

She quickly smirked and said, "Nothing. You must be hungry. Let me feed you."

Meanwhile, on the other side...

Kaiden felt like he was unloading some sort of cargo when he helped Audrey, who was as soft as a kitten to the sofa in her house.

The moment Kaiden stood up, he wiped the sweat from his forehead. He felt so hot that he was breathing heavily. "Your place... doesn't have an elevator, and you're still living... at such a high level, what the h*ck!"

Audrey held her belly and nestled on the sofa. She raised her slightly pale face and said to the man standing in front of her, "Sorry to have troubled you today. You... you! Just sit down, I'll fan you!"

She casually picked up a magazine from the table and struggled to get up to fan Kaiden.

"Don't worry about it. Let me do it!" Kaiden was a typical person who would not bite a hard nut. Kaiden immediately snatched the magazine from her hand as he saw Audrey that was still bustling even though she was already ill.

Audrey snuggled back into the sofa and stared blankly at Kaiden's face, lost in thought.

It was her first time to be taken care of by a man of her age. Although Kaiden was delegated by President Ramsay, such experience still made her feel extremely refreshed.

Out of the corner of his eye, Kaiden caught sight of Audrey's focused gaze so he looked down at her with his sharp and bright eyes. "The doctor said that you've got food poisoning which infusion alone is not enough. You also need to take antiinflammatory drugs. By the way, where is the medicine that the doctor prescribed for you?"

"Huh?" Audrey was staring at Kaiden's mouth and wondering how he took care of it in her heart. How could it be pinker and puffier than a woman's mouth? Until Kaiden repeated his words, she finally came back to earth, "Oh, yes, where's the drug?"

Audrey tossed and turned around and Kaiden suddenly cursed in a low voice. "Don't tell me that you've left the drug in the car?"

Audrey suddenly stopped turning around and looked at him with apology and guilt. She had given her answer in silence.

Kaiden held his breath and tried his best to comfort himself with "It's Amelia's order." After a while, he exclaimed, "I'll go get it!"

At that instance, Audrey lowered her eyes while she felt somewhat uneasy as she watched how she had to burden Kaiden. For the first time, she felt extremely regretful for her careless behavior.

If it were not for the fact that he wanted to build a good impression on Amelia through Audrey's words, he would have left early!

With the thought in mind, Kaiden regained his kindness and asked, "Audrey, do you want to take medicine first? Or, would you like to have your meal first instead?"

"Well, the doctor said that it's better to take some food before taking the medicine..."

She had the runs for so many times that morning that her stomach was already empty. Audrey was just too embarrassed to say that she was hungry, but since Kaiden mentioned about it, she said it out.

Kaiden gritted his teeth. He thought to himself that he should not have asked! Could he cook?

"Then I'll order you takeout. What should we eat? Pizza? Spaghetti?" Kaiden took out his phone, but all the food he named was his favourite dishes.

Until Audrey spoke again softly, "The doctor also said that... I have to eat light food."

With her answer, Kaiden gave her a cold gaze. Audrey blinked her eyes and said honestly, "If it's too troublesome, then forget it..."

"It's, not, troublesome!" He had no choice as she was Amelia's favorite person after all!

After Kaiden fed Audrey food and medicine, a smile full of satisfaction suddenly appeared on Kaiden's face.

He cleaned up the table and put on an earnest

tone. "Audrey, are you feeling better?"

Audrey replied sincerely, "I feel like... I'm finally coming back to life! Thank you so much!"
