Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1259

"Then I'll see how much benefit they'll offer me with," said Mr. Quade slowly. Judging from the sinister expression on his face, he should have expected a lot from them.

The manager faintly felt that something was still off, "Mr. Quade, there's something I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say."

Mr. Quade shot him a cold glance and said, "You've already said a lot of unpleasant words, why not you just continue."

The manager frowned and said, "Amelia is not a problem for the time being, but Patrick's means are really scary. I heard that Kinsley's son was almost beaten to death by him because he flirted with the lady in his nightclub. He is still lying in the ICU now. I'm afraid that... if he failed to reconcile with you, he'll go to extreme and do harm to you again!"

Mr. Quade felt a pain in his head by his words. He cursed in a low voice and said, "Oh, is there such a thing? He is really crazy!"

The others chimed in, "That's right. The ladies in the nightclubs are obviously for us to play with, what's the point for him to interfere? What's more ironic is that... he has shares of the nightclub!"

"I think Patrick is not only a madman, but also a hypocrite! He did it just to win the b*tches' hearts so they would work for him with gratitude!"

"Enough!" Mr. Quade waved his hand and stopped his subordinates from saying a word. Then he said coldly, "In that case, you should tell the public that I've sued Amelia for intentional injuries as soon as possible. If I happen to incur any accident before the court, the public will naturally uphold justice for me."

"Smart! Mr. Quade is indeed a genius!" The CFO had always flattered him no matter what.

While the manager was more rational in analysing, "If that's the case, Amelia is definitely the first person to be suspected if anything happens to you during this period. What's more, we have the video of Patrick hurting us in hand. Neither of them can escape."

Mr. Quade smiled with satisfaction, "You little guys may learn it from me. It's called... gaining the advantage by striking first!"

At four o'clock in the afternoon at the Roxxon Corporation.

"Hey, look at the woman coming in from the door! Is she Madam Ramsay? Did I see it wrongly!"

"Oh? It's really Madam Ramsay!" "My God, how long has it been? Why do you still call her Madam Ramsay? You should now call her President Ramsay!"

During their discussion, Amelia had gone straight to the lobby of the company.

The receptionists were whispering to one another while looking at her as if they had not seen her for a lifetime, until...

"I would like to see Mr. Hopper. Could you please pass the message for me?" Amelia asked politely.

The receptionist came back to earth and said, "But Mr. Hopper is in a meeting now."

It was no wonder... no one answered the phone.

Amelia looked down at her wristwatch. It was 4 o'clock. She hoped that Patrick could end the meeting earlier as she did not want to be under the sight of a large group of employees who got off work.

While thinking, Amelia said to the receptionists who were still looking at her, "In that case, I'll just sit and wait for him at the lobby. You may continue with your work."

"Okay." The receptionists were satisfied with Amelia's cooperation. Everyone was polite, and

someone even gave her a glass of water.

At about 4:30, Amelia who was sitting on a chair had finished the glass of water. Only then, she finally received a call from Patrick.

"Hello, Ms. Amelia Ramsay, what can I do for you?"

When Patrick addressed her with honorific, it was definitely not a good thing. Besides, his voice was so tensed that Amelia realized something was wrong. Did someone piss him off during the meeting?

Amelia looked up at her as to ask silently.

The receptionist continued, "I've just received a phone call from the secretary. She said that the

meeting is over and Mr. Hopper can continue to see his guests. You were the first one to arrive so please head upstairs."

Amelia suddenly tightened her grip on her phone. She suddenly understood the feelings of Kaiden being shut out by her.

Patrick had returned her call after the meeting ended. But, in order to refuse meeting her, he lied to her that he was still in the meeting!

At the moment, another receptionist suddenly came over and said to the petite receptionist with a grim face, "Fay, come with me."

"Oh." After Fay nodded, she politely said to Amelia, "I'll go first, President Ramsay."

"Mm," Amelia's face was ashen. She could more or less guess what the two receptionists were going to talk about.

Sure enough, after a moment, Fay came back and said to her embarrassedly, "President Ramsay, I'm sorry. Mr. Hopper said that he had to deal with other clients today. If you have nothing urgent..."

"I won't go back." Amelia interrupted calmly.

She had said that she must meet Patrick that day no matter what, because there was not much time left for her. She had only three days.

Amelia's heart slowly sank as she watched the clients being called upstairs to Patrick's office. She was left all alone.
