Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1260

"Is President Ramsay... still waiting there?"

"Yes."

"She has been waiting for almost two hours, hasn't she?"

"Yes, we are about to get off work... Ah! There's only five minutes left! Shall one of us go over and remind her?"

The beautiful receptionists glanced at Amelia and continued to gather and whisper,

"I don't think so. President Ramsay used to work here. She should have known our working hours."

"Maybe... she wanted to stop Mr. Hopper when he comes out of the elevator?"

"But, there are multiple elevators here. Mr. Hopper could easily avoid her if he wants to, right? Look at the gloomy weather outside. It's going to rain soon..."

On the other side, in the office on a high floor.

Patrick had just ended a meeting with a client. He took a side glance at his phone on the table and his eyes darkened when he found that it had not rung at all.

Did she not say that she had to see him no matter what? Yet she did not call again after being thwarted once.

"Amelia, was this the patience you have for me? That almost meant nothing..." thought Patrick.

He could not tell why he was angry. He could hardly control his temper as soon as he saw her and heard her voice. But once he could not see her, he felt that something was missing in his life...

At this moment, the secretary came in and said to him respectfully, "Mr. Hopper, there are no more guests waiting downstairs."

"Is that so?" Patrick's voice turned cold.

The secretary was best at reading her boss' expressions. Seeing his face full of displeasure, she immediately added, "Well, I'm referring to the other guests except President Ramsay, who had been sitting in the lobby from the beginning."

Patrick frowned and looked at her with anger. "Miss Secretary!"

"Yes sir!"

"Why didn't you tell me earlier about this?" He thought Amelia could not wait any longer and had gone back!

"You've said you would not want to hear any information about President Ramsay, not even her

name!" The secretary answered calmly.

D*mn it!

After Patrick glared at her, he immediately realized that he had lost his cool for that woman again. He quickly adjusted his attitude and said coldly, "It's time to get off work. I'm leaving."

"Mr. Hopper, are you not going to meet President Ramsay?"

When he learned that Amelia was still in the company, the joy in his heart was almost overflowing. Why did he change his mind so quickly?

"I've never said that I wanted to see her." After saying with a poker face, Patrick propped himself up from the chair and said slowly, "Tell the security downstairs that it's almost time to get off work and no one else is allowed to step into the building... staying in the building is not allowed either!"

Seeing the secretary in a daze, Patrick clicked his tongue and asked coldly, "Did I make myself clear?"

"Yes!" The secretary was shocked. She hurriedly took out her phone from her pocket and said, "I'll make the call now."

Patrick looked at her indifferently. He wanted to see how determined Amelia was!

At the ground floor of the building.

"And me too!"

Silence fell.

The man who had been speaking obscenely behind saw that his words had actually aroused the ire of a some. While perturbed, he was annoyed as well.

Because he did not think that he was wrong. Instead, it was those who stood up for Amelia who were seemingly unreasonable!

"Forget about it. They are from the sales department, which Amelia was in charge of in the past. I heard that she promoted Doris as the supervisor before she left. No wonder they are offended by our words targeting their former leader."

"No wonder!" After being reminded by his companion, the man sneered at Doris and said, "It turns out to be the birds of a feather."

"Go, to, hell!" All of them from the sales department rolled up their sleeves in anger.

At the same time...

Amelia, who was surrounded by the security guards, knew nothing about the commotion around her. She blinked her bright eyes and asked the security guards, "What's the matter?"

The tough men got a little embarrassed by her stare, but they still carried out their job and said, "Here's the thing... President Ramsay, it's time to get off work so outsiders are not welcomed. Please leave immediately."

The security guard repeated the words of the secretary, which sounded quite inhuman.

However, the blame was not on the secretary because Patrick had stood beside to watch her make the call.

Amelia replied with a serious look, "Okay, I'll leave right now."

Just when the security guards all breathed a sigh of relief... "But before that, I would like to use the toilet here, is that okay?" She asked softly.

No one would have refused such a small request, but Patrick's specific order could not be ignored as well.
