Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1274

"I know that you didn't say it out loud, but your words and deeds yesterday have all expressed complete rejection to my plea. Patrick, I don't want to waste any more of my time, energy and money on you anymore!

Something must've been wrong with my brain for me to treat you dinner yesterday. Now, I'm in a bad mood as soon as I see you. Could you please stop standing in the way, Patrick?" Amelia became more and more emotional as she spoke, and her hands itched to throw him a couple of slaps.

"Then, who do you want to waste time on? Shawn, or maybe even Kaiden?" Patrick shot back with a poker face.

"I don't think this has anything to do with you, right? Just like how I've never cared about who you went on dates with because we've already been divorced," Amelia answered coldly.

Patrick's face darkened. "You're the one who will suffer if you continue talking to me like that."

Amelia replied with hostility in return, "As if I talk to you respectfully, you'll help me. In the end, aren't you only throwing me into this wild goose chase?"

"I'm willing to help." Patrick interrupted calmly.

His words caused a considerable stir in Amelia's ears. She looked at him with suspicion, displaying an expression as if she had not heard him clearly at all.

"I said I'll help you, just take it as a payback for treating me sashimi last night."

Amelia's gaze was still very much stunned and that made Patrick's mouth curved upwards into a cold smile. "What's wrong? The surprise came too suddenly that you feel like you're going to faint?"

Amelia absent-mindedly nodded at first, and then she shook her head hard. Looking at him warily, she sounded, "I... I don't believe you. There must be something up your sleeve to get back at me just because I spilled tea on you yesterday and embarrassed you in front of Kayla. No matter what, I will never believe that you would suddenly change your mind!"

Patrick sneered. "Since you don't believe me, then just pretend that I've never been here at all. I'll take my leave now."

"Hey, wait a minute!" Amelia caught up to him and tried to be as polite as she could. "Just consider it as my humble request, when you mentioned that you were willing to help me, was it something that you just came up with or are you really sincere?"

Patrick looked at her and abruptly questioned, "If I wasn't here interfering you, where will you be now?"

"The hospital." Amelia blurted.

It was expected.

Patrick became furious and added icily, "In that case, I have delayed President Ramsay's visit to the hospital. I'd really better go back now."

Amelia was shocked and hurriedly persuaded, "No, no, no! In fact, going to the hospital is not particularly of importance to me right now."

"Really? But, why does President Ramsay's face look like she doesn't want to continue talking nonsense with me?" Patrick countered her while he obediently walked forward.

"Patrick, are you willing to help me or not? If not, then I'll be leaving too!" Amelia was also angry. She was already in such a dire situation and she had no time to play along with Patrick's play hard-to-get attitude.

When Amelia let out a cry, Patrick cannot help but be startled. When he turned back, he caught sight of Amelia frowning and glaring at him in great sorrow.

He sighed in his heart, reached out and pulled her over to him. Looking down, he consoled her, "I'll

help you, okay! I'll testify in court! Now, get in the car."

A huge joy surged itself into Amelia's mind alongside his words. She could not help but smile and ask, "Where are we going?"

"To have lunch." It was already noon. Did she think that it was easy for him to come all the way here in an empty stomach, just for the sole reason of disturbing her? If he had not had his fill, he would not let her go.

"But..."

"Okay."

Amelia continued, "I also want to eat crabs, specifically Alaskan crabs."

Patrick stared at her strange smile and looked as if he had been enchanted by Amelia's beauty. He opened his mouth and promised, "Yes, sure."

Amelia continued to use her slim index finger and pointed at the menu. "I also feel like having some fresh water conches."

"Wish granted." Patrick replied as he stared deeply at her pinkish lips.

"You're so generous, Patrick!" Amelia took the opportunity to praise him, but when she noticed how intently he was staring at her, Amelia shrank her head in fear and directed her attention back to the menu. Then she ordered again and again. But, no matter how expensive the dishes were, Patrick readily agreed to all her requests.

"Well, I think that's enough for now." After ten minutes, Amelia finally stopped ordering.

The waitress was going crazy. During the past ten minutes, Amelia did not even take a break as she gave a string of orders. Even her fingers that had been busy pointing to all the dishes almost got into a cramp!

The waitress complained about Amelia in her heart and she still asked with a smile on her face, "Sir and madam, please allow me to repeat your orders."

"There's no need to. We believe in your ability to handle matters well. Go quickly ,and let your chefs prepare our meal as soon as possible. I'm hungry." Amelia rejected her with a smile.

Patrick had no objection to this at all.

In response, the waitress nodded and said, "Okay, I will hand in your order now!"
