Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1293

If she did not answer his call, he would call her house number. Why couldn't he consider how she felt when she wanted to shut herself up?

At this moment, Sawyer's voice carried a hint of displeasure. "Ms. Ramsay, you're busy?"

Amelia lied, "Yes, I am busy! Mr. Sawyer, anything important? Why do you have to take such a turn to bombard me?"

"It sounds like Ms. Ramsay is furious," Sawyer said.

Amelia said stiffly, "I don't know why I feel irritable when I hear your voice. So, Mr. Sawyer, please keep it short."

Sawyer replied, "All right, I heard that Miss Ramsay has gotten into trouble recently. I wonder if you need me to help you out?"

Amelia replied calmly. "I will thank God if Mr. Sawyer didn't kick me when I'm down. How dare I bother you? Forget it."

"Ms. Ramsay, I really want to help you, for the sake of Abner and Kaiden."

"Thanks, but I really don't need it." "Ms. Ramsay, I think there is some deep misunderstanding between us."

"Oh?"

"Indeed, I took advantage of you before, but it was because of the fact that you were Patrick's wife that I had to hurt you in some matters. But, now that you have already divorced him, there is no longer any conflict between us. I really want to make up for the harm I caused previously, so please give me a chance," said Sawyer.

Amelia told herself these were just words and said, "Mr. Sawyer, I think the only thing I can trust from your words is that I have nothing left for you to take advantage of."

"If that's the case..."

"I haven't finished yet. Do you know what I hear from your tone?"

"What was it?"

"Barely any kindness." After answering, Amelia asked, "Did Kaiden seek you out privately?"

Sawyer remained silent for a moment, then said, "Yes..."

Amelia felt relieved. "Thank you, but I don't need it."

After Amelia exposed his true intentions, Sawyer quickly returned to his indifferent tone and said, "I will play this recording to him. In that way, he'll

have to give up."

Amelia had no objections to this. She could not wait for Kaiden to give up on her.

Before she ended the call, she said, "Mr. Sawyer, you're a good brother, but it's a pity that you're not a good person."

The master bedroom, on the second floor of the Streams Villa.

Sawyer stood proudly in front of the desk. The buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned, revealing his collarbones and tanned skin. His strong and forceful forearms bulged with his movements. It was obvious that he had trained all year round.

Opposite to him sat a beautiful young man. He was frowning and paying close attention to Sawyer's movement. He did not even know that his fingers were about to tear through the couch beneath him.

As the call with Sawyer was over, the young man got up from the sofa and asked eagerly, "Sawyer, what did she say?"

Sawyer glanced at him and said softly, "Kylin, she said that I'm not a good person."

Kaiden, whose nickname was called, showed indifference. "Of course! What I am asking is, did

she agree with you to help her or not?"

Two days later, at the Ramsay's Mansion.

Amelia put on a formal outfit. The black collar made her fair and clean face look a little chilling. She put on red lipstick and tied her hair to a neat ponytail, looking very experienced!

Amelia took a look at the time on the clock and called Patrick.

When the call was connected, Amelia glimpsed at the mirror and found that she was nervous. The next second, her trembling voice betrayed her emotions. "Mr. Hopper, today is court day. You... you'll be there on time, right?"

Patrick asked in a low voice, "Your voice is trembling. Are you afraid?"

Amelia curled her fingers and felt that it was okay to give in at this moment. "Yes, I am scared..."

But, the result did not reach her expectations. Instead, Patrick asked unhappily, "You don't believe me?"

She quickly denied. "No!"

Patrick asked, "Since you're not afraid that I'll break the appointment, then what are you afraid of?"

Amelia took a deep breath and said, "To tell you the truth, you are the magic treasure that will help me win the case unexpectedly. I put all my hopes in you. If you don't come, I may... no, I will definitely lose."

She knew that this man was hard-hearted, she simply flattered him to satisfy his chauvinism.

Patrick laughed ambiguously, "Really? I didn't expect you to trust me so much and put all your hopes on me?"

Amelia echoed, "Because I can't think of any better way."

Patrick asked in a deep voice, "But why did I hear that you have not only found a lawyer privately but also told the director of Apex that there's nothing between us. It's impossible for me to appear in court."
