When the indicator light outside the emergency room turned from red to green, Eve was the first to rush forward with her face full of anxiety and panic.

Patrick who was on a surgical bed was pushed out by several surgeons.

The blood transfusion tube on the back of his hand had not been removed, while his forehead and waist were wrapped in bandages. He looked haggard in a coma.

"Patrick, wake up! Open your eyes and look at mom..." As soon as Eve saw Patrick, she immediately lay prone on the surgery bed, not allowing it to leave smoothly.

Her actions and her shrill cries had made everyone around her frowned.

The doctor then said, "Madam, both operations were successful and now he needs rest. You will affect him if you were to mess around noisily."

From her desperate mood, Eve had become calmer after hearing the doctor's words. "Doctor, where are you going to send my son to?"

The doctor said, "Although the surgery is successful, the patient still needs to go to the ICU for observation and treatment. Once his condition is completely stabilized, he can be transferred to the general ward."

Another doctor came over with a stack of bills and asked loudly, "Where's Patrick's family member?"

Eve wanted to ask the driver to do it, but he had not returned from buying her lunch. However, Eve thought about Kayla who was the daughter of the mayor and also an outsider. In the end, Eve could only say, "Okay, let's go."

Then, she said nervously to the group of doctors who were pushing Patrick, "Doctor, please don't let any of them approach my son. They have a bad intention! The woman who was called into the emergency room just now is the culprit of my son's misfortune! If she says that she wants to take care of my son when I'm not around, you must not let her do so!"

"She's indeed hopeless!" Alice said in a tone which she was not afraid of being heard by Eve. Then, she went up to inquire the doctor with a soft voice. After learning that not only Patrick's forehead, but also his lower back was injured, she sighed and said sincerely, "He will be fine."

Watching Patrick being pushed far away, Amelia's eyes became teary again.

After she came back to earth, Amelia shook her head and said, "It's alright. I was absent-minded just now. After what you did, it doesn't hurt anymore, hehe!"
