Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1320

"It's true, I swear," Patrick said gently.

Amelia could not help but showed a relieved smile. Although she was very angry that he had teased her and made her worry and blame herself for so many days, her father's life was the most important!

Patrick did lie to her, but he had secretly given her father the antidote, which was better than giving him poison anyway.

Patrick kissed her face that appeared to have complex emotions and asked, "I've completely made it clear about the matter now. Shouldn't you be relieved?"

Amelia rolled her eyes at him. "I see you've really worked hard in making things up huh! Even the specialists in the hospital colluded with you and kept me in the dark. You're all too much!"

As she said, her eyes turned red. She was not effeminate, but the sudden joy and sorrow would be hardly acceptable for anyone.

In order to comfort her heart that was worn-out, Patrick said softly, "The only thing I didn't lie to you about your father's illness is that the dosage is really fixed to be 16 times. As long as he has completed all sixteen injections, he will naturally recover."

As he said, Patrick's eyes became sharp. "When the time comes, you may ask him about the true person who had poisoned him."

Amelia was shocked by his words. She immediately looked at Patrick's eyes, with full shock and confusion.

Patrick saw her reaction and said, "Are you really that innocent to have thought that your father was purely food poisoned?"

Amelia's face was full of fear. If her father's poisoning had been done by someone, then the person... was true evil!

Since the person could have harmed her father unknowingly, he should be someone her father had known!

When she thought of such person lurking around them, she felt a chill.

Patrick saw how Amelia was having a difficult time in accepting his words, he said with some selfmockery, "You would rather believe in my lies in drugging your father than doubt whether someone around you had harmed your father for long. It seems that I am a true evil in your heart."

Amelia said coquettishly, "Don't get me wrong, you were the one who said it so seriously at that time!"

Patrick had also recognised that it was not the right time to argue with her. He pinched her waist and said, "Being able to have poisoned your father in secret, the culprit seems to be somewhat trusted by your father. He may have known you and will do something to you as well. For safety reasons, you'd better move back to the Land of Fragrance."

"Stop!" She was not his pet dog that would obey all of his orders.

Patrick coaxed her with his charming voice. "Mrs. Hopper..."

"Don't call me Mrs. Hopper, I'm not! Other men would spoil their wives, but you've only tortured me all day!"

"I've spoilt you with my own life, is it still not enough?"

Amelia let out a snort. But, in her heart she was thinking with emotions, Patrick had already done enough, even beyond her imagination!

Just by his contribution to the development of his father's antidote, she had owed him a lot!

How much money had Patrick spent on the relevant research?

Amelia looked at him with complex emotions. If Eve had not caused the accident, she would definitely not know when she could have finally heard his true feelings!

Perhaps, only until George woke up, then she would understand Patrick's "kind intentions".

Patrick stared at her cheek which was close to him and stole a kiss again.

Amelia was tickled by his kiss and could not help saying, "Don't mess around. I still have a date tonight."

Amelia nodded gently.

At the moment, a nurse who came in to remove the infusion needle for Patrick said anxiously, "Hey! How could you lay on the patient's body? What if

he gets hurt? Get up quickly!"

Amelia immediately realized that she had been maintaining this position for a long time. She quickly stood up from Patrick's loosened arms and asked hurriedly, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, you're not heavy anyway." Patrick waved away the hand of the nurse who wanted to help him up. He reached out his hand straight to Amelia, showing his intention clearly.

Amelia felt a trace of sweetness deep in her heart. After Amelia helped him up, she turned to the nurse and said, "Then I'll have to trouble you."

The nurse knew that Amelia was trying to ease the situation for her, "No trouble!"

Sure enough, after Amelia said that, Patrick no longer stopped the nurse from approaching. She could finally remove the needle for him smoothly.

When the nurse was pulling out the infusion needle gently, Patrick said in a low and hoarse voice, "Mrs. Hopper, it hurts..."

Amelia's mouth twitched. The man had not cried out in pain when he had burst his head hard and cracked his waist, yet he was doing so because of a small infusion needle. Could it be any other than sad-fishing?

Although she had realised about it, she could only go with his words and said, "Miss, please hand me the cotton swab."

The nurse quickly handed Amelia the cotton swab to stop his bleeding and sensibly went straight to the medical records instead.

After Amelia took the cotton swab, she immediately pressed it on the part where Patrick had shouted in pain.
