Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1333

"Mm." She pursed her lips. Amelia could not help but secretly blame Sawyer for asking the obvious!

Sawyer narrowed his eyes coldly as he mocked, "I thought you're impenetrable and that you won't feel pain at all."

"Are you serious?" thought Amelia.

Amelia shot him a glare before she grumbled, "Pain... means nothing as compared to having sex with you!"

Sawyer scoffed, "Don't act like you're still a virgin. We all know that you're nothing but a pregnant woman. Do you really think that I will find you attractive?"

A hint of melancholy flashed across her gloomy face as she murmured, "It's not like that. It's

just... I'm afraid that I might lose control and... rape you instead."

When the words came out of Amelia's mouth, Sawyer nodded approvingly, "True. I should be more careful."

"D*mn it!

How could he find this funny?!"

Overwhelmed with frustrated thoughts, Amelia had not forgotten still the question that bothered her all this while. Hence, she asked, "By the way... Sawyer... Can you tell me... where am I now?"

Amelia came to realize that she managed to distract her focus on the sensation of her body through talking to Sawyer.

Besides, the coolness that soothed her skin successfully eased her condition. She no longer found what was ongoing in her body unbearable.

Sawyer replied, "We're in Florence now."

"Florence?" She thought for a while before she was completely astounded, "What?! Are you saying that we're in Italy now?"

"Well, what's so strange about it?"

"I can't believe that I'm abducted to Italy!"

All in a sudden, Amelia reached out with another hand and said, "Please... Sawyer... Lend me your phone!"

She was certain of a fact that her disappearance must have driven Patrick and Alice crazy!

That was why she must contract them right away and assure them that she was safe!

Shrugging, Sawyer replied, "I don't have my phone with me."

That was impossible!

Amelia's eyes popped out in disbelief. However, she dared not to voice her doubt in fear that she was going to offend Sawyer. In that case, there was no way that Sawyer was going to lend her his phone.

Even so, it was so obvious that anyone could simply read what was on her mind from her expression.

He explained emotionlessly, "No one is allowed to have any kind of communication with the world outside until it is officially declared that all the deals are closed. Let me be frank with you. Before we enter into the club, all of our weapon and communication device are being confiscated. The gathering is nothing but all about business."

Amelia was exasperated at his explanation, "You're not lying to me... are you?"

Sawyer snorted, "Why must I lie to you? We can't afford to have any undercover agents sneaking into this place exposing us. We will be sent to jail if that happens. That's why strict security measure is needed in place to protect all of us."

Amelia could feel her heart sinking. Despite feeling upset, she was convinced that he was telling her the truth. After all, she had been in the hall herself earlier. She knew very well what kind of people were there in the hall and what might possibly happen to her had Sawyer decided not to save her. She did not think that she would ever forget what happened today until the day of her last breath.

What terrified her more was that those seemingly unkind people were competing to offer their wealth to Sawyer. All Amelia could see was that they were trying so hard to flatter him and strike business deal with him. Amelia could not help but ask hesitantly, "Sawyer, why did you end up..."

Sawyer continued her unfinished question for her, "Involving in drug dealing, am I right?"

"Uh huh..."

Uncle Quartley was a virtuous and kind man. That was why Amelia found it difficult to believe that his son would end up becoming a drug trafficker!

Sawyer reminisced, "Well, that's simply because it brings me fortune. Besides, don't you find it amusing when you see those people who are going to offer everything possible just to get a few ounces from me? They would literally do anything including selling off their dignity. At this time, I'm not just a drug trafficker but their God."

Amelia did not know how to respond to his words, let alone making any comments. Hence, she decided that it would be best for her to stay silence.

At the sight of this, Sawyer said understandingly,

"It seems like I'm telling you a little too much, kiddo."

Startling, Amelia blurted out, "Who did you call as a kiddo?"

Sawyer replied teasingly, "You know that I'm calling you, otherwise why did you respond to me?"

It took Amelia a few seconds before she came to realize that Sawyer was messing around with her. Pursing her lips, she retorted vindictively, "Watch out, Sawyer. I'm going to report you to the police once I get back to Northville."

That was meant to be a joke. After all, no one would in her right mind would threaten to expose them right in front of them.

A hint of sarcasm flashed across his face as he challenged, "Go ahead. But, make sure that you can get all the necessary evidence beforehand." Amelia immediately explained, "I'm just kidding." Sawyer replied faintly, "I'm kidding too."

Silent fell.

Amelia came to realize that it was not easy to maintain a conversation with Sawyer. In fact, it was hard to read his mind. All he did was responding the exact same way she did to him. Eventually, he would somehow drain off all her temper.

A moment later, Sawyer began to wipe another hand.

On the next second, Sawyer released her hand and ordered, "Take off your dress."

Amelia was taken aback by his words. She could not help but ask alarmingly, "What do you want to do?!"

Sawyer shot a glance at her before he replied faintly, "What else I can do? I need you to take off your clothes so that I can wipe your body. Hold on, are you hoping for something else to happen?"

Upon hearing this, Amelia wished that she could bury her head in the sand just like an ostrich always did. She hurriedly rejected, "No!

Actually... I'm feeling much better. I think... I'm able to help myself now. Please... give me the towel."

Although he made himself very clear that he was not interested in her at all, that did not mean that she was fine with him wiping her private part.

"All right then." Sawyer tossed the towel in her direction.

When Sawyer saw that she managed to grab the towel without trembling, he turned around and headed towards the direction of the door.

Amelia was delighted at the sight of him leaving. She came to think that he was giving her space so that she could help herself at ease.

However, as soon as she saw Sawyer opening the door of the bathroom, she could not help asking in surprise, "Hey, aren't you leaving?"

Sawyer turned around and shot her with a cold stare. A sarcasm smile began to creep onto the corner of his lips. He teased, "Who told you that I'm leaving? This is my room. Now that I want to take a shower. Do I need to ask your permission beforehand?"

Amelia replied sheepishly, "No." She stammered as she voiced out her concern, "But... I need... to take off my dress now."

Sawyer was a smart-mouthed after all. He replied ruthlessly, "You can go ahead and take it off. Don't ever think that you can seduce me with your old and used body. Besides, they are going to think that I'm a one pump man if I go out now."

Her past experience in relation to having argument with Patrick was particularly useful at this moment. She soon understood what he meant. Feeling a rush of heat on her cheek, she blurted out, "Can't you... tell them that... you're not interested in me?"

Sawyer was not going to compromise, "I've already told them in their faces that I was going to have you all by myself back in my room. If I were to go out and tell them that I'm not interested in you, does it make sense to them?"

Amelia fell into a dilemma all in a sudden. She could not trust that Sawyer would not come out from the bathroom all in a sudden in the midst of bathing. She swore to herself that she rather died than risking the chance to let Sawyer see her naked body.

Just as both of them fell into a disagreement, all in a sudden they heard a loud bang. In the next second, someone broke into the room from outside.

The impulse of the kick was so strong that the door fell directly behind towards the wall.

The color drained from Amelia's face at the sight of this. She was terrified at the idea that something bad was going to happen again!

Sawyer too looked in direction of the door at the same time. However, his well-being trained from his past experience rendered him successful in remaining calm even at such unpredictable event.

"Freeze! Police!"

All she could see was a dozen of men dressed up in police uniform broke into the room and began aiming their guns at Sawyer!
