When Amelia noticed that it was
Patrick's breakfast, she reached out spontaneously to take over the tray from the guard's hand. "Thank you. Just hand it to me."
"Ms. Amelia Ramsay, please." After the guard handed the tray to Amelia, he closed the door without saying anything else.
Since she was full and Patrick's breakfast was being sent anyway, it did not matter whether they could go out or not.
She could think it that way, but Patrick could not. He was in a bad mood as he thought that although Owen had withdrawn his troops, his movements were still being restricted.
When Amelia turned around, she saw a gloomy look on Patrick's face, probably because he could not go out.
She deliberately lowered her head to smell the food, and then showed a lovely smile to him, "Patrick, your breakfast is here. It looks amazing and it smells good!"
"Really? Why can't I smell it?" Although Patrick said so, he no longer looked listless, but became more or less interested.
Amelia put the tray on the table, waved to him, and said with a smile, "Why not you come and try it yourself."
Patrick took a closer look and saw that the tray was not served with Italian dishes, but his favourite chicken soup, so he felt satisfied.
He took a quick glance at the food that Amelia carried to him. Patrick found there were two sets of utensils and Amelia was ladling the soup for him with her head lowered...
He came up with an idea and deliberately said in a casual tone, "Owen has specially asked the kitchen to prepare two sets of utensils, probably asking you to eat more as you didn't seem to be full just now.”
Amelia was already full, but Patrick was obviously hinting her to eat with him.
She did not disappoint him as she said with a refreshing smile, "Well, I kinda feel a little hungry. I'll eat with you then!"
Patrick was naturally happy, because he found that she had become much easy-going.
After Amelia finish ladling the soup, she looked up and found that Patrick had brought over two chairs. He stood behind her and said, "Please take a seat, Mrs. Hopper."
Amelia then sat down and said jokingly, "Why have I never found out that Mr. Hopper of the Roxxon Corporation could be quite a good waiter?"
Patrick stared at her lovingly and said straightforwardly, "Because I haven't had the will to do that to anyone else."
Amelia's heart trembled and she subconsciously changed the subject. "Hey, the soup is really flavourful, I really enjoyed it a lot!"
She had escaped again!
However, Patrick was neither angry nor discouraged. In order to make Amelia who was traumatized to fall in love with him again, patience was exactly what he needed.
So Patrick calmly sat to the opposite of her and asked as if nothing had happened, "Is the soup really that delicious?"
Amelia gave him a spoon and said, "Yes, it suits my appetite, even the chicken meat is very tender. The chef must have really worked hard in preparing each ingredient needed for the soup."
Amelia would probably not say so if she knew that when she was unconscious, Owen had asked the Italian chef to cook the soup according to the recipe he had prepared again and again while pointing a gun on his head, which a lot of ingredients were being wasted in between.
Patrick took a quick sip of the soup and commented, "I think the one you cooked tasted better."
Amelia's face turned hot, and she said coquettishly, "Why is the focus on me again?"
"I'm just being honest." After a pause, Patrick seriously asked, "Mrs. Hopper, after we return home, can you make breakfast for me every day?"
Seeing Amelia stunned by his question, his smile became bitter. Patrick used to ignore Amelia's contribution, which became his current desire that he could hardly get. Was it karma after all?
"Er, we'll see by then." Amelia gave an ambiguous answer.
She did not mean to string him along. She was truly afraid that if she had agreed to Patrick at that moment, she would not be able to fulfill her promise when they returned home, as there would be dozens of people, affairs, and rumors blocking in between them. She did not want to break her promise to Patrick.
Patrick did not force her. "Okay, as long as you're willing to, the Land of Fragrance will always serve you a warm welcome."
"Okay," Amelia said softly, feeling a little relieved.
Fortunately, Patrick did not act unreasonably nor schemed her with his injury. Otherwise, she would have been put in a very difficult position.
After having a peaceful breakfast, Patrick suddenly stopped Amelia's hand when she was about to clean up the table.
"Hmm?" Amelia said softly and looked at him in confusion. "What's wrong?"
Patrick held her small hand tightly in his big palm. "Just leave them to Owen's men."
Amelia said calmly, "They are guards, not waiters.
It was said that Mr. Hopper of the Roxxon Corporation was the most unpredictable, but why did she feel that he was just like a kid who would be happy over some little things?
A minute later, the man, whom Patrick called for, came. He looked petite and cute that Amelia even doubted if he was already of age to be enslaved by Patrick.
Patrick then introduced, "Richard Dean majored in housekeeping in college and his
specialty is dealing with household chores."
A housekeeping major? In college?
Amelia suddenly felt that she had fallen behind!
Rare for a man to sign up for that.
Just then, Richard stopped wiping the table and took the initiative to say to Amelia, "Miss, you don't have to be surprised. I insisted on working hard in the relevant courses. So you don't have to worry, I am good at doing these."
As he finished his sentences, Richard gave her a smile where his dimples that naturally appeared on his white cheeks made Amelia cry out in her heart, "So cute!"
Except for kids, she had never seen such a cute boy. The word 'cutie pie' was meant for Richard!
Amelia could not help but asked the man next to her curiously, "Patrick, do you know how old Richard is?"
Patrick saw the restraint in Amelia's eyes when she was asking the question, as if she had come across a cute little animal, but could not go near as to not frighten it.
Patrick frowned slightly. He had never known of Amelia's such taste in men.
He had actually chosen Richard because he did not want Amelia to have contact with other men.
But, Richard's appearance had attracted much attention and interest from Amelia, which was completely different from what he had expected!
"Richard, hurry up." Patrick sounded inexplicably urging.
"Got it!" David followed and began to speed up.
In a blink of an eye, Amelia saw that Richard was almost done. Since Patrick refused to tell her about David's information, she could only ask herself, "Richard, may I know how old are you?"
