Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1347

Amelia's eyes widened in disbelief all in a sudden. A moment later, it was only then she exclaimed, "You... you set me up!"

Patrick replied calmly, "How could you accuse me of setting you up while you were the one who admitted it yourself? Moreover, the fact that you admitted that you're Mrs. Hopper proves that you still think of me all this while. You can't deny it."

Amelia could feel her heart pounding rapidly as she panicked. She contended, "How can you be so shameless! You were calling me Mrs. Hopper all this while. I felt pity for you that was why I responded!"

However, she regretted as soon as she finished her words. If Patrick were to ask the reason behind her sympathy, she did not think that she would have an answer to that question.

Just as Amelia was stuck in a dilemma, Patrick stopped laughing altogether. All she could hear was Patrick murmuring gloomily, "Can you continue to pity me? I don't mind to live with your sympathy for the rest of my life."

Amelia's heart skipped a beat at his words.

For a bossy man like Patrick who used to command and make others listen to him, he had no idea what kind of impact he would leave for him to expose his vulnerability to others once in a blue moon!

That feeling was no different from seeing a predator out at the corner licking its wound. It was human nature to feel sorry and sympathetic at this moment.

"Patrick..."

Patrick was too afraid to have her come out with anything that was meant to push him away. Therefore, before she could finish her sentence, he decided to seal her lips with a kiss.

Amelia was not mad at the unexpected kiss either. She asked feebly, "Aren't we... heading out for breakfast?"

Patrick mumbled as he was still kissing Amelia, "I'm already having my breakfast..."

There came the sound of garment being torn apart.

That sound immediately pulled Patrick and Amelia back to reality.

At that moment, Amelia gripped her torn blouse and questioned Patrick blushingly, "Look at what

you've done!"

However, Patrick was so distracted by her dazzlingly beautiful face that he had not been paying attention to her words. At the sight of this, Amelia's anger was being triggered to another level. As a result, she stomped on his shoes fumingly. It was only then he came back to his sense and asked, "What's wrong?"

"How dare you throw the question back at me? You've torn my shirt off!" The truth was Amelia was not mad at all. All she wanted was to make up an excuse for him to stop what was ongoing between them.

Patrick swept a glance at the torn part of the shirt near her chest. At the first sight, he was triumphed at what he had done. Subsequently, he explained softly, "I'd say it was a heat of passion."

Amelia grumbled, "I don't think so! Are you sure that you have not gone wild?"

Patrick chuckled, "If I were to go wild, I don't think you'll have a chance to stand here and talk to me right now."

His straightforward reply was coupled with his overflowing desire had led to Amelia's suspicion. She could not help but wonder if it was true that the man right in front of him had not been sleeping with any other women all this while.

In particular, Eve and Gramps had been introducing him to a number of beautifully young women after they entered for a divorce. She wondered if he had never thought of developing something more with those women.

Whenever Amelia thought of Patrick making love with other women, she was immediately swept away by anger.

She could not help but grumble, "You have abundant amount of energy to be released, haven't you?"

At the sight of him waiting for her answer earnestly, Amelia struggled to organize her thoughts before putting them into an answer. She then explained, "It's true that I hated you before. But I can assure you that I no longer do now. At that time I had no idea that you were developing an antidote for my father, that was why I was blinded by hatred! Besides..."

Patrick tugged her hair to the back of her ear. He asked softly, "Besides what? Tell me."

"Nothing. It'd be better to leave the past in the past!" Sissi was her worst nightmare after all. She did not want to bring up her name at this moment. She wished for nothing but for that woman to be gone from her life forever!

As the color drained from her face, Patrick could not help but wonder if it was because she thought of Sissi. A mixed feeling of happiness and worry began to overwhelm him as he thought about it.

He was supposed to feel fortunate if Sissi was the reason that Amelia ended up sulking. After all, that signified that she still cared about him.

On the other hand, he was also aware that he had been taking good care of Sissi in the past. There was no doubt that his behaviors and actions had left traumatic impact on Amelia. His worry was that it was going to take him a ton of time before he could heal those psychological wounds he had caused to her. Even so, he swore to himself that he would not give up no matter what happened.

It was at this moment that someone knocked the door.

Amelia subconsciously retracted from his embrace. She murmured softly, "I'll go and answer the door."

Despite acknowledging her words, Patrick could not help frowning as soon as she turned around and walked away from him.

Patrick felt deeply annoyed, he thought, "I've gone through hell just to reunite with my wife. Who the hell is there to come in between us from time to time?"

Amelia opened the door just to find a tall security guard standing outside of her room. Through the polite manner he spoke, Amelia could tell that he was one of Owen's subordinates. He said, "Ms. Amelia Ramsay, I'm under Captain Hopper's order

to deliver Mr. Patrick's breakfast."
