Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1360

When Patrick suffered a setback, Amelia was extremely happy.

He deserved to be taught a lesson since he had teased her so many times that day.

After the cheerful yet somewhat helpless breakfast was over, Patrick went to the counter and paid the bill. When he turned over, he saw Amelia staring at a wall in a trance with her hands clasped behind her back.

He took the change from the cashier and walked towards her. He approached her and asked, "Mrs. Hopper, what are you looking at?"

"This." Amelia pointed her slender finger at the wall.

Patrick followed her finger and saw the wall covered with all kinds of memos, with foreign words written on them. She guessed that they should be the notes left by the travellers after paying a visit.

Patrick was not interested in it so he glanced back at Amelia. She happened to turn to him at the moment and her smiling face got into his sight.

"Patrick, why not we leave a note as well?"

Patrick was not a sentimental person, he was a bit too arrogant instead. He had always acted in a way which actions spoke louder than words. That was why he was reluctant to say the word 'love' to Amelia.

He would usually scoff at such invitation which he used to think was artistic yet childish. However, Patrick unexpectedly did not have any intention in refusing. Instead, he nodded and said, "Okay."

So Amelia immediately asked a passing waiter to bring them memos and pens. Seeing her smiling and excited face, Patrick was moved and could not help but lowered his head to kiss her.

"Hey! We're outside, don't do that..." Amelia rolled her eyes at him, looking annoyed.

But the bad thing was that her skin was too fair, so the flush was obvious, making her look like she was actually welcoming such actions but had pretended to refuse.

"Why fear? You truly belong to me anyway." Patrick said with his eyes shining with determination.

"You..." Amelia was about to say "Not yet", but she did not as she saw the waiter coming over with the things she had asked for.

After thanking the waiter, Amelia picked a blue

memo from the colourful stack and chose a black one from the two pens. She then handed them to Patrick.

"What are you going to write?" Patrick asked casually after taking the memo and pen over.

"It's a secret." After Amelia said mysteriously, she took her own memo and pen, and turned her back to him.

Patrick felt that she was funny. Her height had not even reached his shoulder, so Amelia turning around would not hide anything from his sight.

But, Amelia had her head low as if she had already expected it, so that she could hide the memo completely under the shadow of her face.

Patrick was amused by her desperate posture. "No matter how you try to hide it now, you have to stick it out later, don't you?"

Amelia continued writing with great ease while facing her back at him, "Then we'll talk about it later. You hurry up and write as well."

Patrick got back his focus to not waste any more time. He pulled out the cover of the pen and started to write on the memo.

Five minutes later.

Patrick's cursive writing which his words could hardly be defined, Amelia sulked. "What's this?

What are them? I can't even read them."

That was what Patrick looked for.

He curled his lips and said, "As long as you show me the memo hidden behind you, I will tell you what I wrote."

A hint of panic flashed across Amelia's beautiful face and she mumbled, "Why are you so curious about it?"

Patrick waved the paper in his hand and said, "Then why are you so curious about mine?"

Amelia held her piece of memo more tightly behind her and said determinedly, "Forget about it, you don't have to tell me."

When Patrick heard that she refused to exchange secrets with him no matter what, he suddenly felt unfair, "Hey, are you willing to show everyone else but not me?"

"Yes..." Amelia answered somewhat guiltily.

Patrick was even angrier. They had experienced so many things together. Was there any of her secrets that he had not known?

Unless she had another man in her heart!

However, he soon ruled out the possibility. Since the divorce, the young lady had been closely supervised by him. Although she had gotten to know Shawn, Patrick had quickly restrained him

with Valerie, so it was not a big deal.

Besides, could she ever find another man who would risk his life for her like how he did?

No, not at all!

If it was in the past when he was pissed off, he would probably crumple the memo in his hand or rip it into pieces and then leave with anger and jealousy.

When Amelia saw Patrick's ashen face, as if his soul would leave his body at any time, she ordered her thoughts and asked with hindsight, "Do you mean that this is what you've written on the memo?"

Great! It seemed that Mrs. Hopper was not completely dumb!

Patrick's expression finally looked a little better.

In the next second, Amelia looked down and said in a clear voice with some melancholy , "But, it's not an easy thing."

Her words were mood-ruining.

Patrick was clear about it.

But, it also reminded him that his path to chase his wife was long, as it was impossible for him to have regained Amelia's heart overnight.

Patrick did not know that he had misunderstood.

What Amelia truly concerned was the attitude of his mother, his grandfather and the Hopper Family as a whole, as well as the opinion and criticism of the public. As for him, she had always placed him in her heart! If the external factors were not ruled out, she could hardly be with him again without any grudges.

Amelia sighed like an old lady and said to Patrick, "Mr. Hopper, let's quickly stick them to the wall. We still have other stops to head to."

Patrick nodded. He quick-sightedly found an empty spot and pointed at it while asking Amelia, "Shall we stick them here?"

Amelia looked up along his finger and found that Patrick was pointing at the highest spot of the wall. If their memos were to be posted there, they would definitely become the most conspicuous as it was too attention-seeking.

Besides, she could not reach the spot with her height. If Patrick said to help her stick it as an excuse and peeped at the content of her note, she would then be ashamed.

She shook her head and said sleekly, "I think the spot is too conspicuous which is inconsistent with your character being humble, noble, and knowledgeable."

"Mrs. Hopper, although what you said is true," Patrick secretly acted cocky again. Then he continued, "But, I don't like to go with the flow and be in the same place as others."

The most important thing was that he wanted to place his love for Amelia at a spot that everyone could see. He was glad and willing to have done so!

When Amelia realized that she had failed to convince him, she could only change her words. "All right, I know you've used to be different, but I'm the type to go with the flow. Why not you just stick at the top while I'll find another spot."

"Mrs. Hopper, don't you think it's ruthless to separate our memos as if the two of us are being forced apart?" Patrick sounded a little resentful.

Being put with such a blame had made Amelia feel a little uncomfortable for a moment, as if she had

really done something unacceptable.
