Patrick agreed.
But deep down in his heart, he was thinking if the bearded man dared to show his wife's photo in public. If the bearded man does so, he would definitely come for him!
Before the sun set, Amelia seized the opportunity to ask Patrick, "Look at the Square over there. Isn't it bustling? Shall we go over and have a look?"
"Okay." Patrick agreed.
The Square was crowded so Patrick had been holding Amelia's hand tightly, as afraid that she would slip away if he had not been attentive.
"Patrick, you are being too nervous." Amelia had said it to him more than once.
"I can't risk losing you again." Patrick had emphasized it more than once as well.
"Even when I was being kidnapped to such a far place, you managed to find me. Now that you could see the square wholly at a glance, even if I ran away, you would definitely still be able to find me!" Amelia's tone was full of trust for him.
"I see that you just want to torture me!" Patrick laughed and then said seriously, "No matter what you say, I won't let you get out of my sight. So, you'd better give up on the thought of leaving me to wander around!"
When she heard his words, Amelia felt sweet and funny and said, "I really didn't expect President Hopper to be such a clingy guy."
"That's right, but I only cling onto you!" Patrick did not feel embarrassed at all while he could still tease her. Amelia immediately blushed and could not say a word.
When they passed by a stall, a vendor stared at them and shouted, "Ladies and gentlemen, the Italian commemorative coins that are
limited worldwide are on sale. Hurry up and get yours before they're sold out!"
As soon as Amelia's eyes fall on the so-called commemorative coins, Patrick was worried that she might be deceived, so he reminded her immediately, "Leave him alone. Such vendors are specially here to bamboozle the foreign travelers' money."
While Patrick was talking, Amelia had already bent down and picked up two commemorative coins. She put them in her palm and played with them. "But, these commemorative coins look like real gold. Don't you think they are crafted exquisitely? I can even feel them being cool in my palm..."
"No matter how exquisite it is, it's still fake."
While Patrick said sharply, Amelia had already talked to the vendor, "How much is this?"
Patrick was speechless so he interrupted the vendor's answer without grace. "Mrs. Hopper, if you want gold, I can buy it for you."
"Nope, I don't want it." Amelia just wanted to buy it as a souvenir, not caring whether it was real or fake.
With her indifferent reply, Mr. Patrick felt hurt. Why was his beloved young lady so difficult to please?
In the end, Amelia spent some real money in buying more than ten fake commemorative coins.
Before they left, the vendor deliberately used an ancient money bag to pack the commemorative coins in.
So, Amelia suddenly adored them even more which her attention in talking to Patrick had become less.
D*mn it! Even the fake coins were more important than him!
Patrick was secretly angry, but he could not lose his temper. He could only stare at whoever was looking at him with a stern face which he inadvertently scared several foreign beauties who were trying to chat him up.
After a hearty dinner, Amelia returned to the room and was about to take out all the things she bought on the way to have a look at them. However, just as she opened her coin pouch and poured out the commemorative coins, there was a white note that lightly fell down together.
"Eh?" She thought it was a receipt at first, but she recalled that the vendor did not give her any receipt. So she took up the note to unfold it and saw a line of words on it...
[Miss Amelia Ramsay, I'm Mr. Sawyer's subordinate, please come meet me! It's urgent!!!]
Amelia slightly held her breath. Regardless of the content on the note, how on earth did the piece of paper appear in the bag?
Could it be that the vendor had stuffed it inside in advance?
No way!
How could the vendor be sure that she would go and buy the commemorative coins?
In a split second, the man who had carelessly bumped into her in the square appeared in her mind. Was it him?
Did it mean that he was not a remnant of Pablo, but a subordinate of Sawyer instead?
While Amelia was wondering, Patrick walked out of the bathroom and noticed with his sharp eyes, "Mrs. Hopper, what's in your hand?"
Amelia reflexively grasped the thing in her hand and nervously looked around with her eyes slightly lowered. After coming across the pile of skin care products on the dressing table, she talked wet, "Ah? Oh... it's the manual of the sleeping mask. I just simply take a look at it since I may be using it tonight."
Patrick came over and pinched her beautiful face. He said cheekily, "It's already so tender, are you still not satisfied?"
