After learning that Amelia was in the club, Brayden was stunned at first because he could not figure out why a weak and upright woman would appear in such a dangerous place.
For a moment, Brayden even thought that his guess was completely wrong.
Until the second day after the club was conquered when he saw Patrick appearing aggressively with his team, then he had started to believe that it should be true.
Who could it be for Patrick to have come to Florence in such a hurry?
Could it be Owen? That was obviously unnecessary.
Because the club had been well controlled by Owen's team so there was no need for Patrick to come at all.
Therefore, the answer could only be Amelia!
When Brayden thought of Amelia's company which was in jeopardy where its major project could only be launched with the investment of his master, plus that she would give lessons to his little master every weekend, a glimmer of hope arose in his
heart.
He ordered his men from the Northville to remain still while he himself would continue to lie in ambush near the club.
After waiting for two days, he finally saw Amelia and Patrick walking out of the club intimately!
His opportunity had come!
So Brayden followed after them!
He had wanted to stop Amelia and talk to her to learn about his master's recent situation for countless times, but Patrick had been closely protecting her which made him unable to approach her at all.
After following them for almost a day, when Brayden had almost lost hope, Amelia and Patrick squeezed into a bustling square hand in hand.
Looking at the busy crowd where the passers-by would brush across one another, Brayden pulled himself together and pretended to hit Amelia on the shoulder by accident.
As he had controlled his strength and angle well, he naturally knocked off the bag that Amelia was hooking to her finger.
When Patrick was concerned about Amelia, he magically put the note he had written in the bag, gave it back to Amelia, and then left after
apologising.
After completing the task, Brayden knew that he had to wait again to see how Amelia would answer him.
If Amelia was a smart person, she must be clear of the interests of the matter. If something bad happened to his owner, Apex Construction Corporation would face the trouble of divestment in the future!
After Amelia and Patrick had left in the taxi, Brayden returned to the place where he had lurked previously.
However, Amelia had not appeared to meet him. Instead, there came two dangerous figures, Patrick and Owen, as well as their big group of men behind them.
Brayden was furious! He had not expected Amelia to treat him as a friend, but his master had offered support to her company anyway. He might not mind if she did not help him, but how could she ask the Hopper brothers to confront him!
The woman had returned kindness with ingratitude!
He must avenge furiously after he had managed to help his master escape!
At that instant, Brayden tried to suppress his anger and panic as he thought about it. He put on an ignorant expression and continued squatting on the ground to sell the accessories.
Patrick and Owen were obviously coming for someone. If he fled in a panic, he would definitely be suspected.
From the corner of his eye, Brayden then saw that they had crossed the road and were coming straight in his direction.
He repeatedly comforted himself to stay calm, but when he heard a guard holding a sniper rifle behind Owen say, "He's the one who has followed Mr. Patrick and Miss Amelia Ramsay all the way." He took to his heels.
Then his right leg was shot. He staggered and fell on the roadside with his face facing the ground.
In the temporary office of Owen in the club.
Two guards escorted Brayden, whose leg was injured into the office. Owen removed his cap that he had pulled extremely downwards, revealing his true face.
Owen saw that he was a one-eyed man who still looked fierce after being caught in a mess.
He then looked carefully at his dress and smiled. "Aren't you Sawyer's lackey? You've suffered a lot to escape from us, why have you run to the wolf again today?"
At that moment, Brayden was furious. Had he come to them in volunteer? It was obviously Amelia who had betrayed him!
At the thought of the woman, Brayden badly wanted to rip her into pieces!
But, Owen's eyes that were as sharp as Patrick's forcibly made him stop dreaming. He gritted his teeth and endured his pain while he asked, "Where's my... master? Is he still... alive?"
It was what he was most concerned about!
"He's dead." Said Patrick coldly from the side before Owen could answer.
The corner of Brayden's eye turned red. He straightened his neck and refused to accept it, "That's impossible!!"
"How is not possible?" Patrick took a gun from Wayne and expressionlessly pointed it against Brayden's head while saying coldly, "It has happened to him, and it's your turn now."
Brayden's chest heaved violently as he stubbornly asked, "Is my master... really dead?"
If it was true, he would be willing to immediately sacrifice as well!
Patrick's reply sounded cold and heartless. "I remember clearly that I've already answered you."
"Mrs. Hopper?" Patrick frowned and exchanged gazes with Owen, who came in.
Owen frowned as well. He had already opened the door in a way that it was impossible for Amelia to see the scene inside, unless she peeked at it.
When Owen thought about it, he immediately extended his hand to Patrick. "Give me the gun and go accompany Amelia."
Patrick glanced at Brayden and said, "Let me get rid of this man first."
Owen disagreed. "Do you want to scare Amelia"
Patrick's heart sank. He handed the gun to Owen with his arm stretched.
Owen heaved a sigh of relief. He had worried that
Patrick would kill Sawyer's man regardless. "Go."
When she saw Patrick coming out of the room with a kind look, Amelia hesitated for a moment before asking gently, "Were you helping Owen in interrogating a criminal inside?"
Patrick was stunned and asked, "Did Owen tell you that?"
Amelia nodded and said hesitantly, "Well, he's said so before returning to the room, and then I accidentally saw... you pointing a gun against someone's head. That's why I asked."
Patrick followed her words, "Oh, I'm indeed assisting Owen. The person inside is the criminal he's in charge of."
Was that really the case?
Could it be a coincidence considering the timing of the trial?
She had just showed him the note yet he disappeared in the next second. When she could not help but rushed out to find him, she saw him pointing a gun at someone's head!
With the suspicion in her eyes, Patrick suddenly felt a little unhappy.
He pushed her back to the corner of the wall and lowered his head to ask, "Are you worried that it is Sawyer whom I've pointed at with a gun?"
In the face of his dangerous questioning, Amelia raised her head, looked into his deep eyes and replied, "No, I know it's not him."
Sawyer was taller and thinner than the kneeling person while his bearing was extraordinary as well.
Amelia did not dare to say the details she had thought in front of Patrick, or he would imagine things again.
Patrick sneered in his heart, "How can you be so sure that it's not him just by looking at the view of his back? Could Mrs. Hopper have known him well?"
At the end of his words, he became jealous uncontrollably.
