Amelia could tell.
She then said sweetly, "Patrick, could you stop being jealous?"
"I'm not jealous!" Patrick, who was exposed and blushed. He couldn't help but lower his head and bit Amelia's lower lips. His mood was lifted when he heard her stifle the pain.
"You b*stard!" Amelia, who was bitten was so angry that she grabbed his shoulders and tiptoed to bite his chin!
While she wore her slippers, Amelia could only reach his chin even when she tiptoed. It was disheartening to say the least!
Patrick grunted. "Mrs. Hopper, are you biting me or seducing me?" Not only did he not feel pain, but the lust inside him was magnified!
Was she trying to humiliate him in the corridor where someone could pass by at any time?
She should be punished!
Patrick raised his hand and spanked her bouncy ass, he then said in a hoarse voice, "Mrs. Hopper, do you want to play something different with me?"
Amelia heard him spouting nonsense instead of begging for mercy. He even spanked her. She couldn't help but yearn to leap onto him and bite him again.
But when she met Patrick's aggressive gaze, she was frightened. She coughed lightly and asked in a low voice, "I've already filled your bathwater. Are you coming back with me or not?"
Patrick's squinted eyes lit up and warmth floated to his heart. "This is the first time you've filled the tub for me after our divorce. Of course, I will go with you."
He took her hand and said eagerly, "Let's go!"
When Amelia was tugged away by Patrick, she couldn't help but look back at the office. She thought that the person inside her office would definitely be the one who was handing her all those notes.
If that was the case, wouldn't it mean that his demise was because of her even though she hadn't had the chance to do anything to him yer?
With the flicker of sadness in Amelia's eyes, Patrick frowned and went back to the room with her, pretending nothing had happened.
As a result, there was not a single drop of water in the bathtub.
Patrick looked back at Amelia and asked in an obscure voice, "Mrs. Hopper, where is the water?"
Amelia said innocently, "Well, maybe the stopper isn't tight enough. Since you've left for quite some time the water must have dried up by now."
After she said that, she walked past him. First, she pretended to adjust the stopper then she turned on the faucet. The sound of flowing water and her voice came to Patrick's ear, "Don't worry, I'll just fill it again for you."
Patrick smiled.
Amelia felt a shiver when she saw Patrick smiling.
The fact was she didn't even fill the water for him at first. All she wanted was for Patrick to leave with her as soon as possible just for the sake of sparing the life of the person who had been sending her notes.
On one hand, she had sympathy for that guy who had been caught by Patrick and on the other hand, she didn't want blood on Patrick's hands.
However, how could it be that Patrick didn't know what she was up to?
Did she really think that it would be safe to leave the messenger to Owen?
However, Patrick looked at her frustrated expression, he was also very upset.
It's all Sawyer's fault!
He made Amelia feel like she owed him a favour and that Patrick had owed him a favour too.
The next morning, in Owen's bedroom.
After Patrick met Owen, he immediately stripped off his top and exposed the bandages around his waist.
Owen held the specially prepared painkiller in his hand, waiting for Patrick to remove his bandages.
"Oh, so it's because you were behind Sawyer when the both of you were rescuing Amelia? Oh, that's not right. Aside from him, you're also behind me."
Owen didn't want to provoke Patrick. However, Patrick took it to his heart.
Patrick's voice became agitated. "Aren't you the one to blame? If you hadn't stopped me in
Northville, these incidents wouldn't have happened!"
Owen saw Patrick clenching his fist and he looked like if he couldn't vent his anger. He curled his lips and said with a look of disdain, "You brat, did you really fight for her? Why are you so childish? It doesn't matter who saved Amelia at that critical moment. The most important thing is that she's safe, you shouldn't be jealous of me or Sawyer!"
At that moment, Patrick calmed down a little and said, "I know. That's why I asked you to let him go. But I don't know if doing so would implicate you."
"It's easy to let him go. The ones who carried out this mission with me were all my men. When the time comes, as long as Sawyer's name is not on the arrest list, it won't raise suspicion from the superiors. It's just a pity that we finally managed to catch this drug dealer with all the evidence needed yet we can only watch him escape."
Owen let out a long sigh before staring at Patrick. "But brother, I'm truly impressed that you were able to let go of Sawyer on Amelia's behalf."
Did this mean that Sissi wasn't as important to him as she was in his heart? Was that why her hatred towards Sawyer had lessened?
The next second, Patrick's eyes turned gloomy and he said, "I let him go this time for the sake of Mrs.
Hopper. As for all the grudges we had, I will deal with it sooner or later!"
When Patrick replied, Owen couldn't help but say, "What?" He blurted out, "You haven't forgotten Sissi, have you?"
Sissi?
Why did he mention her for no reason?
Patrick looked at him strangely. "Why do you ask?"
