Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1370

Owen then shared his assumptions with his little brother.

Patrick said unhappily, "I don't have any feelings for Sissi. She has nothing to do with whether I want to take revenge on Sawyer or not! Brother, please don't talk about these assumptions in front of Mrs. Hopper. It's not easy for me to convince her, I can't afford to make any mistakes at this moment!"

Owen was overjoyed to hear that. "What? You've confessed to Amelia!"

Patrick turned his face away, his ears slightly blushed. "I've shared my thoughts to her but I haven't confessed yet."

Oh my god!

How could his bully of a brother be so shy!

Owen didn't even bother to give him his injection after seeing him blush. He just kept asking him, "All right, I made a slip of the tongue, but I'm really curious. What have you told Amelia?"

Patrick didn't want to say it, but his brother seemed to forget to give him his injection and they were wasting time in the room with him half-naked.

He pursed his lips and said, "I told her that I've put Sissi behind me and I wanted to start all over with her!"

"Isn't... isn't that a confession?" If that didn't count, then Owen really didn't know what a confession should be.

"Does it?" Patrick asked inquisitively.

The impression of a confession to him was to say 'I love you' to Amelia's face. Although it was mushy, it was the best way to express his feelings.

Owen was stunned by Patrick's question. Perhaps it was because the relationship between him and Nora wasn't filled with twists and turns like Patrick and Amelia's. Therefore, even if they didn't say those three words, their days were still very sweet.

"That's true. Between you and Amelia, communication is always the most important thing. Find a time to tell her the truth. You'd better give her a proper wedding in the future. I recalled that you didn't hold a wedding ceremony and that the both of you only registered your marriage. It's really a disgrace to her," Owen said sincerely.

When Owen mentioned this, Patrick's heart couldn't help but ached. Mrs. Hopper must have been upset that she didn't even have a proper wedding back then.

However, she pretended that nothing happened.

She lived a peaceful life with him. Because he was blinded, he abandoned such a good wife to pursue something that doesn't belong to him. As a result, he ended up in a ditch.

Patrick rubbed his eyebrows and said in a hoarse voice, "Brother, I want to hold a press conference after returning to Northville to announce the news of our upcoming wedding."

"What?!" Owen's eyes widened. He was surprised and delighted, he then asked, "Isn't this a little too fast? What did Amelia say?"

Patrick answered honestly, "She didn't agree but she didn't refuse either."

Owen pondered for a moment. "That is to say, she needs time to consider?"

Patrick nodded, his stoic face was full of determination. "Yes, that's what I told her too. I'll give her time to think about it. But this time, no matter what her answer is, I won't let her go!"

While Amelia was still groggy, she subconsciously moved towards the warm embrace in her memory.

The next second, she said in a low voice, "Hmm?" She rubbed her eyes and saw that the space beside her was empty.

She glanced around the room and asked, "Patrick?"

No one responded.

It seemed that he went out again.

When she thought that he was probably going to kill someone, Amelia's heart sank.

As the scene changed. When Patrick opened the door and entered the room, he saw Amelia sitting on the bed with a quilt in her arms and her face sullen. She didn't even know that he had come back.

"Mrs. Hopper," With his eyes gleaming slightly, he stepped in and said in a brisk voice, "Good morning!"

As soon as Amelia heard the voice, Amelia looked up and glanced at him. "Where have you been?" Patrick answered with a smile, "I went to see my brother."

Amelia was even more certain that Patrick had killed someone. He looked happy, as if he was satisfied with what he had done.

He then stared at her ashen face. After a while, Patrick came to her side and rubbed the back of her head.

As he felt her body stiffen for a moment, he looked at her deeply and asked, "Are you afraid of me?" "No..." Amelia replied hastily.

Patrick exposed her. "When you see me disappearing early in the morning you must have thought that I went to kill someone haven't you?" Amelia's eyelashes trembled and she couldn't help but ask, "So, did you?"

Patrick answered softly, "Would you believe me if I said no?"

"Yes!" Amelia nodded heavily, a look of relief appeared on her face.

Patrick was really satisfied with her answer as there was no hesitation in them.

"As expected," Amelia thought.

But then Patrick added, "But I don't want to owe him a favour, and I don't want the first thing you remember about him was him saving your life!"

"Patrick..." Amelia was touched when he looked at him. Why was he so concerned about her? If it went on like this, she would really marry him again regardless of the consequences!

Right after Amelia blinked at him, Patrick immediately felt that no matter the price she had to pay was or what compromise she had to make, she was willing to stay by his side and be with him only.

While Amelia and Patrick were glued together overseas, in a luxurious villa at Northville.

A young and handsome man with a hint of viciousness in his eyes was recklessly riding a mature woman on a spacious and soft doubleperson bed. From their chanting and breathing, they were definitely enjoying their affair to the fullest.

"Um... Daniel... slow down!"

Sarah was a beautiful widow that was almost 40 years old. The words 'forty-year-old' and 'widow' were the words a woman wanted to avoid.

But Sarah didn't care much about it, and she was satisfied with the current situation of her life.

Before Sarah's husband died, her marriage didn't go well. Her husband liked smoking and drinking and was a playboy. If it weren't for the power of the two families, he would have been dead because of economic disputes.

Later, Sarah's husband died in the arms of another woman, which then caused her to became a widow.

Sarah didn't feel sad about this. Rather, she felt as if she had been reborn.

She began to wander among young and handsome men in the name of a woman who had lost her husband.

Her family and friends cheered her up and supported her. No one objected or abused her.

Because she had suffered a lot in her previous marriage, no one sympathized with her dead husband. Everyone praised her as an open-minded woman living in a new era.

Sarah felt at ease as she did what her husband wanted to do before he died. She thought that she could spend her entire life with the purpose of being 'groomed'. It was when she met Daniel, who had come asking for her help, that she suddenly had the thought of being a wife again.

However, Daniel was someone else's fiance.

Although that woman was called a childish and stupid peasant by Daniel, it couldn't stop her from having him.

He was so handsome. But, it's not just a handsome man that made Sarah's heart pounded like this. She knew that she had fallen into a love trap, yet he chose to end this relationship with her on the day of their marriage.
