Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1381

After the video call ended, Owen collected his thoughts and said with a chuckle, "Patrick, Amelia. It was just a dream. Please don't take it seriously."

Amelia replied, "We won't, Owen. We just find Ashley adorable. What do you think, Patrick?"

"Hmm," replied Patrick indifferently, as if he was not affected by it at all.

In fact, he was eager to have a child together with Amelia. It would be even better if their child had a better gift of gab than Ashley so that someone could finally put Ashley's wittiness to shame!

Amelia began to clean up the dining table with Patrick's help after Owen left.

After that, they took turns to clean their hands in the washroom. Just as Patrick was about to ask if Amelia had any plans in the afternoon, she suddenly said, "Patrick, it's about time for us to go home, isn't it?"

Go home?

Patrick was stunned for a moment before he asked, "What's the hurry? Do you find it too boring here?" "No." Amelia shook her head firmly.

"Then why the hurry? I remember you told me everything at the company is going smoothly under Jonathan's supervision."

"No matter how smoothly it goes, I can't put my mind at rest until I'm supervising it myself," answered Amelia. Besides, Patrick was the president of his own company, so he should not cast the company aside just to spend more time with her.

"Okay, I understand." Patrick knew that Amelia would not change her mind easily once she made up her mind. It was better to agree with her to avoid any arguments.

Besides, it was not ideal to keep taking the painkiller either. Patrick could get more rest after they went back to Northville.

"Then I'll call Wayne now and ask him to book the flight to Northville to avoid any delay," Patrick said.

"Thank you," Amelia thanked him sincerely after listening to his plan.

Patrick then suddenly bent down and stared into Amelia's eyes. "Mrs. Hopper, do you know what I hate hearing the most?" "Huh?" Amelia was stunned by his question.

"I hate it when you say 'thank you' and 'sorry' to me. That makes me feel like I'm a stranger to you!" Patrick exclaimed as he enunciated every word.

Amelia responded in desperation, "Sorry, I didn't mean to...

Patrick interjected with a serious expression, "You're doing it again!"

Amelia immediately realized what she said and could not help but cry out in panic.

After that, Patrick wrapped his arms around Amelia's waist and held her in his arms.

He looked into her eyes with gentleness and allure as he added, "Promise me to stop being so polite with me. I'm your man, and I'm the closest person you have in your life!"

Amelia's heart started to race as Patrick confessed his feelings to her with his charming look and husky voice. She could not resist his charm.

Amelia wheezed, then she asked, "Then, we'll just rest in our room this afternoon. What do you think?"

"Okay," Patrick agreed. Wayne might have already booked the next day's flight, and Patrick did not want Amelia to wear herself out.

A mischievous spark then glinted in Patrick's eyes when he saw Amelia's yawn. After that, he bent his knees and carried her to the bed.

Amelia was flustered and asked, "Hey! What are you doing?"

"You're tired. Let's lie down and take a nap," said Patrick.

Patrick then took off both of their slippers and laid down on the bed with Amelia. He gently put his arm on her waist to avoid pressing too hard on her belly.

Amelia hummed in agreement. However, after a while, she said, "Patrick, I can't fall asleep."

Patrick frowned slightly then opened his eyes. He then looked at Amelia's pretty and sleepy side profile. "Weren't you yawning just now?"

Amelia turned to him and said in a gentle tone, "Yes, but I'm afraid that I'll sleep into the evening. After that, I'll sleep again after dinner and showering. Then, tomorrow, we have to go back to Northville."

Patrick asked out of curiosity, "So, Mrs. Hopper, are you changing your mind about going back to Northville?" If she was, he would be more than happy to accompany her.

"No. I just want to spend more active time with you," said Amelia. She then paused and cupped Patrick's face in her hands. "Am I being annoying? You look drowsier than me, but I keep stopping you from getting a nap..."
