Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1394

Wayne continued, "Mrs. Hopper, I've already inserted the new sim card for you. You're now using back your old number. As for your contact list and the content of your phone, I don't think there’s any ways to restore them. I'm sorry!"

Amelia beamed and put the bag aside. She then said, "No worries! I wish I can tell you how thankful I am for what you've done for you. Please help yourself with the food!"

After having a hearty meal, it was time for Wayne to excuse himself.

Amelia and Patrick came to the door to send him off. As soon as he left, Amelia turned around and glanced at Patrick hesitantly.

Patrick knew her too well that he could tell what was on her mind at this moment. With one of his hands stroking her hair, he spoke out her mind, "I'll send you back to the Ramsay's Mansion now."

Amelia smiled and agreed, "Okay then."

After putting on her shoes, she turned around just to notice that something was wrong with Patrick. He was leaning to one side as his hand was gripping on the edge of the shoe cabinet in an attempt to support himself. Meanwhile, another hand of his was placing on his waist. Judging from his brows which had crumpled together, there was no doubt that he was dwelling in agonizing pain at this moment!

She could feel her heart sinking at the sight of this. She walked over to get him before asking worriedly, "Is your waist injury recurring?

"Yeah..." A thin sheer of cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

He could not help cursing in secret, "D*mn it!

How on earth did I forget to inject the enhanced painkiller for myself after coming back to Northville?"

The truth was he felt a surge of stabbing pain coming from his lower back as soon as he woke up earlier in the morning. He probably had strained his nerve again when he was about to bend down and put on his shoes. In the next second, all he knew was that an agonizing pain had swept him away. He dared not to move around as any slightest movement would immediately result in him feeling excruciatingly painful.

Upon meeting with Amelia's anxious gaze, Patrick plastered a smile on his face in an attempt to assure her that he was fine. He then took out his phone from his pocket. His voice was hoarse as he muttered, "I'm sure that Wayne is not far away. I'll ask him to come back and pick you up. Don’t worry. You'll still get to go back to your family." Amelia cried out exasperatedly, "That's not my concern now! I'm dead worried for you!" All this while, she was so consumed with herself that she seemingly overlooked his injury. At the sight of him in pain, she could not help feeling sorry for him! She felt an urgency to do something in order to ease his pain.

"I'm fine. It's more important to get you home first..."

Amelia cut him short, "Leave it. We'll talk about this later. Let me help you to the couch first."

Patrick had no other choice but to listen to her, "Sorry for all the troubles."

"I don't need you to thank me!" Amelia shot him a glare before putting one of his arms around her neck.

Patrick took a deep breath unnoticeably. He struggled to support himself as he did not want to throw his weight on her entirely.

After settling Patrick down on the couch, Amelia came to his front and squatted down helplessly. She asked, "Is there anything I can do to ease your pain?"

Patrick leaned against couch in an attempt to relax his body to the full extent. He squeezed out a tiny smile as he told Amelia, "No, it's okay. I just need some time of rest."

As soon as Amelia heard Patrick's word, she dared not to come forward in fear that she was going to disturb him and worsen his condition.

However, Patrick was the only one who knew that resting on the couch was not the solution to the amount of pain that he was undergoing at this moment.

He had only two options left for him. The first one was to inject the enhanced painkiller right away while the second option was to be admitted to the hospital. Nevertheless, he was not willing to make known to Amelia the fact that he had been injecting himself with painkillers all this while. He did not want to further burden her psychologically.

As a result, he notified her that he would need to take a nap to make himself better. Meanwhile, he also conveyed to her his apology that he could not make it to accompany her home. Unexpectedly, Amelia refused to leave after hearing him. She insisted that she was going to stay by him side until he got better.

Patrick had to admit that he was touched. However, he also fell back into a pool of frustration at the same time. If Amelia were to stay, there was no chance for him to go and get the syringe!

He thought for a while before he proposed, "Why not you call Paisley over? You can leave me to her care while you go back to the Ramsay's Mansion. Don't you think it's a winwin situation?"

"Yeah. I guess no one had been entertaining her b*llshit when I was away for the past few days. That was why she was getting bored.

She won't stop until she finally get on my nerve again."

"What an id*ot! She'll never learn her lesson!"

"Ha!" Amelia burst out laughing at his words. She wondered if Brittany could still remain calm after hearing what Patrick had just said.

Despite finding his words amusing, Amelia soon remembered that there was something more urgent to deal with. She looked at Patrick before she said solemnly, "Leave it. I'm going to get Paisley here to check on n you.

It had been some time since Amelia last contacted Paisley. Therefore, upon receiving Amelia's phone call, Paisley could not help but catch up with her over the phone.

When Paisley learned the fact that Amelia and Patrick were still living together despite after entering into divorce, she was overwhelmed by shock. She could not help but exclaim, "So what's ongoing between the both of you now? Are the both of you in a state of separation or being together? By the way there were rumors accusing Patrick for beating Mr. Quade up for you. Was it true? And also, why are you at his house now? Are you two getting remarried?"

"Paisley!" in face of her row of questions, Amelia had no other choice but to cut her short, "Patrick needs you to come over right away. I'll answer your questions once you're here, is that okay?"

Paisley agreed without hesitation, "Okay!" With that said, she ended the call.

Approximately half an hour later.

Paisley rushed to the Land of Fragrance together with Justin. The moment Justin saw Amelia, he flashed a smile at her before he greeted, "It's nice to see you again, Amelia." "Me too." At the sight of Justin following after Paisley wherever she went, Amelia could not help feeling happy for Paisley. She could not tell exactly whether to regard him as Paisley's student or her lover more appropriately.

However, one thing that she knew of was that he was a loyal companion.
