Amelia dared not to turn around. She could not bear to look at Kaiden's expression at this moment. Therefore, she could only clench her fists and left the scene in a hurry.

The last thing that Kaiden saw before the doors of the elevator shut completely was her leaving determinedly.

All in a sudden, he punched the wall of the elevator with all his strength. All four bodyguards were stunned at the sight of this.

Kaiden seemed more collected. It was only then one of the bodyguards broke the silence, "Mr. Kaiden, there are still plenty of fishes in the sea..."

Kaiden replied expressionlessly. "But, I only want her in particular. Do you have a say on that?"

The four bodyguards replied in unison as they felt a chill running down their spines, "No, we don't!"

The bell of the elevator rang.

As soon as the elevator door opened, Kaiden stepped out of it right away leaving those four men at the back.

Despite knowing that they might annoy Kaiden further, those bodyguards had no other choice but to go after him after exchanging look with each other.

However, as soon as Kaiden entered into his office, he slammed the door shut before they could follow him inside.

Upon returning to the office, Kaiden filled himself with a glass of cold water. He gulped down the glass of water in an attempt to suppress his frustration and disappointment. Unfortunately, his attempt was to no avail.

He grabbed his phone on the table and began calling Sawyer without hesitation.

Kaiden could not help sinking in his thought while waiting for Sawyer to pick up his call. The truth was Sawyer had not been turning on his phone all this while. That was why Kaiden had no one to vent his anger. However, he could no longer keep his overwhelming emotions to himself. The woman that he had a crush on was getting back together with her ex-husband in a blink of an eye time. What was worse, she was being extremely cold to him which left him with no chance at all! There was not even once he felt as defeated as how he felt at this moment!

The phone rang for a while before it was answered. Just as Kaiden was dwelling in his anger, Sawyer spoke from the other end of the call with a hint of tiredness in his voice,

"What's wrong?"

Kaiden could not think straight at this moment. Frowning, he scolded, "Sawyer, everything was messed up because of you! You're the one to be blamed!"

"Hmm?" Neither was Sawyer offended by Kaiden's rudeness nor was he keen in responding his anger.

Kaiden was so blinded with fury at this moment. He wanted nothing but to vent all his anger to him. Hence, he could not bother whether Sawyer was in a mood to deal with him. He continued saying, "Had you not sent your men to follow me all the time, I would have reunited with my crush by then!"

Sawyer could not asking with great interest, "Who's your crush? Amelia?"

"Who else do you think?" Kaiden began venting his frustration to Sawyer, "I had no idea what was wrong with her. She became more distant after returning from a business trip. Do you know what was the worst thing? She told me in my face that Patrick is her boyfriend now! I remember that this was not how she told me at the time when I rushed her to the hospital. She even told me that she was going to cut Patrick off completely..."

Sawyer thought for a while before he asked indifferently, "You rushed her to the hospital before? What happened to her?"

With his eyes flickering, Kaiden stammered,

"Um... That was a long time ago. It was not a big problem either. I guess she probably have recovered by then."

The last thing that Kaiden would tell was Amelia's pregnancy. After all, he promised before that he was going to keep her secret for her.

Upon hearing this, Sawyer did not pursue on that matter any further. He asked, "Other than this, is there anything else?"

"Yes, there is!" Kaiden took a deep breath before he called out vengefully, "Sawyer, I need you to get rid of Patrick for me!"

Kaiden's request successfully attracted Sawyer's interest. He asked, "Why?"

This time Sawyer withdrew his laughter. He sounded concerned when he spoke again solemnly, "Kaiden, I'm finally back in peace these two days. Patrick is a dangerous person. It'd be better for you and I to stay as far away from him as possible. Are you clear?"

Kaiden could not help but stun at his words for a few seconds.

It was only then he asked in disbelief, "Don't tell me... that you're afraid of Patrick now, do you?"

Sawyer did not answer his question. Instead, he replied faintly, "I’ve no time to catch up with you. I've got to go."

With that said, Sawyer ended the call from his side.

"Hello? Hey!" Kaiden was slow to process what had happened. It was until he heard the disconnect tone from the phone that he finally realized that Sawyer had rejected his plead mercilessly!

"D*mn it! I thought we are brothers! Why can't you stand on my side and help me?!" Sulking, Kaiden kicked his office table outrageously. The momentum was so great that the glass on the table toppled down in direction of his desktop processor. As a result, the water in the glass began to spill all over the table.

It was not long after that Kaiden heard some buzzing sound coming from the processor.

In the next second, the screen of his desktop blacked out. The design templates that he had been working on all this while disappeared from the desktop followingly.

The sight of this successfully shut Kaiden up this time.

At Streams Villa.

After Sawyer hung up the call, he began massaging the temple on his forehead.

It was not that he did not want to help Kaiden in teaching Patrick a lesson. It was just that the Hopper Brothers had successfully caught him red-handed in relation to his drug trafficking business back in Florence.
