Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1471

"How can this be?" Alice was shocked.

She had no idea that Brittany had caused a scene at the company before she came to the hospital.

"That's the truth, Alice." Patrick affirmed Alice's suspicion.

Alice felt her blood rising to her head, and she could not endure her contempt nor vent her rage. Finally, she sighed and said, "Brittany is trying to infuriate me to death!"

Amelia felt sorry for Alice. She then said, "Aunt Alice, what's done is done. Please don't get angry."

"How can I not get angry! Your father has always told me to take good care of you, and I have to consider you in any situation at any given time. But now, Brittany had ruined everything. I feel ashamed towards your father and Petty..." Alice clutched her heart, uttering with a trembling voice and tears rolling down her cheeks.

Amelia also sobbed and said, "Aunt Alice, you tried your best, so how can my parents blame you? Don't cry. Seeing you cry makes me want to cry too."

When Patrick noticed Amelia's reddened and swollen eyes, he whispered into her ear, "Mrs. Hopper, if you continue to be so emotional, you'll harm the fetus. Stop crying, okay?"

It had to be said that Patrick's words were put to good use at the most crucial moment. Amelia quickly promised, "Okay."

Only then, her eyelashes fluttered but no longer dripping with tears, Patrick felt relieved. Then, he thought that he should take Amelia away from Alice as soon as he could. Otherwise, the office would be drowned in tears if they continued to chat.

With that thought in mind, Patrick loosened his arms and grabbed Amelia's thin waist to straightened her up. He then carried her up and lowered his head to said to Alice, who was sitting on the sofa, "Aunt Alice, Amelia's too emotional now. Let her head back with me first. As for what goes on next, let's decide according to the situation."

"But..." Alice looked at Amelia with reluctance. This separation was different from usual, and Alice was extremely saddened when she thought that Amelia was likely to cut ties with the Ramsay family once she left.

"Don't worry. With me around, nobody can hurt her," Patrick assured.

Alice knew that Patrick would take Amelia away no matter what, and Amelia was also willing to follow him. What else could she do?

Alice stood up from the sofa unwillingly. Watching Amelia's graceful but sorrowful expression, she said, "Amelia, The Ramsay family will always be your home. The doors are open for you whenever you want to come back."

When Amelia was being carried to the basement parking lot by Patrick, she suddenly felt an indescribable sentiment surging in her heart. When she thought that she was an orphan, she could not help but shed tears and wet Patrick's black blazer in the process.

Patrick soon noticed her odd behaviour.

His eyes gloomed, and he silently picked up his pace. He came to the car's passenger seat and opened the car door with one hand that was unlocked in advance by Audrey. Then, he gently placed Amelia into the car.

"Mr. Hopper, shall I drive?" Seeing Amelia's despairing mood, Audrey knew that she would not be able to comfort her, so she took the initiative to be the driver.

Patrick nodded at her and followed her into the car. But this time, he rose the divider, blocking Audrey's sight on them.

Then, he lifted Amelia's small face by her chin, and like a hunting lion, he crashed his lips onto hers.

Different from his gentleness from the previous time, this time he was ruthless!

No! She could not be so spineless!

"I... hmm!" She wanted to go back on her words, but Patrick swallowed her voice with his kiss for another time.

Amelia was unable to resist his passionate attack, her messy thoughts completely cleared away by his kiss.

Except for the name 'Patrick Hopper¹ that was ringing in her head, the previous sad events left no trace in her mind.

After a while.

"Do you still want to cry?" Patrick's satisfied and wicked voice sounded in the carriage.

"It's none of your business whether I cry or not!" Then came the charming and slightly disgruntled snort from Amelia.

Patrick raised his brow and threatened the woman in the corner under his wrath, "Try crying again. Believe it or not, I'll set you straight."

Amelia's eyes were still red, and she murmured weakly, "How... how dare you!"

Patrick puffed out his chest and answered in a deep voice, "I'll show you."

Amelia knew she was doomed and surrendered quickly. "I won't cry anymore. Please spare me..." After hearing her needless surrender, Patrick generously tidied up her loosened clothes and helped her sit tight.
