"But in this way, I can only ask Nora to take care of you." When Patrick said so to trick her, he was actually not confident.

He knew that Amelia was lovable and all of Owen's family cared about her. She was particularly close to them so she might agree. If she agreed, all his efforts would be in vain.

"No!" Unexpectedly, Amelia hastily rejected him, and she was particularly determined.

Phew! Thank goodness she did not agree!

Patrick cheered in his heart, but he appeared to be calm as he asked, "Why? Don't the family treat you well?"

"Of course they do! It's just..." Amelia bit her lower lip and seemed to be depressed. "I feel a little reluctant to part ways with you."

She really hated to part with him! When Amelia thought of nobody would hold her in bed at night, and nobody would have meals with her during the day, she felt unadaptable.

"Yes." Amelia answered weakly. She was used to see him the moment she opened her eyes every morning and always had his warmth and heartbeat accompany her. She would then be full of energy to start a new day. If he left, she would definitely let her imagination run wild since she was alone.

Patrick was overjoyed and greatly became soft-heartened at the same time when he saw that she was so depressed all because of him. "Then follow me to Japan. So neither of us will leave each other, okay?"

To this point, even if Patrick was really lying to her, Amelia would accept the fact. After all, she could hardly leave him.

"Okay, I'll go with you!"

Amelia was finally convinced. So, Patrick smiled and said, "I have one more thing to tell you, Amy. It's a surprise for you."

"What is it?"

"Nora, Andrew, and Ashley will all join us."

"Ah?" Amelia was both surprised and delighted. After a while, she asked, "Are...they going together?"

Amelia excited like a child. Patrick looked more gentle when he saw this as he said, "Isn't Owen working in Italy? He hasn't gone home for half a month. He was afraid that his family would miss him badly. So he asked me to organize some outdoor activities, to take Nora and the two children out to relax. But recently, I'm stressed out by so many things so I'm not in the mood for that. Since the company now has a business trip, I simply took the opportunity. It's just a matter of buying more air tickets."

Amelia was so happy that she could go travelling with the adult and children she liked. However, she was also a little worried. "But doesn't Nora have to go to work? Whereas Andrew and Ashley... What about their homework?"

Patrick said jokingly, "They are not like you. They cherish the opportunity to travel, especially the two kids. They're so happy when they heard that they can go to the farm to herd sheep and milk cows. As for their homework, they can just do it when they come back."

Amelia smiled, but she suddenly stopped. "Wait! You have already decided to bring Nora with you to Canada. Yet you still said to have Nora look after me when you were on a business trip. Are you fooling me?"

Patrick said calmly, "Amy, you've tested me, can't I do the same to you?"

Amelia was stunned.

Indeed, it was she who first told him that she would not accompany him to Canada, in order to figure out his true intentions.

If the business trip was fake, he naturally would not go to Canada if she insisted to be absent. If the business trip was real, he had to go even if she did not go.

Unexpectedly, he had used Nora as a cover to test if she could truly not leave him.

And the result was that she really could not live without him.

"Jessica!"

When he heard the name, Patrick frowned reflexively, "Jessica?"

"Yes! I'm seeing her tomorrow morning as she has long had something to tell me. I could ask her to take care of Rick for a few days."

Compared with the pet center, Amelia still felt that someone she knew was more reliable.
