"Private stuffs?" Patrick looked at her with regret. "So an outsider like me isn't allowed to get involved?"
Amelia was worried that he would be unhappy. So, she lowered her eyes slightly, and thought of a better way to explain it to him.
The next second, a big palm suddenly covered the top of her head, as if he was a master transmitting deep affection to her. "Alright, I'll stop making fun of you. You may go and meet her now."
Amelia looked up at him and asked with concern, "How about you? Where are you going?"
"I'll just walk around nearby and wait for your call." Patrick had become a perfect husband. He would never let Amelia leave his sight for too long.
"Okay, then I'll go." After Amelia finished, she added, "I'll bring you some new coffee and biscuits from our cafe later."
But Patrick said, "Other than that, I'm more interested in the taste of the lipstick you used today."
As he spoke, he moved closer to her. He stuck out his tongue and licked her red lips over and over again. Then he started to get closer and they had a french kiss...
Ring, ring, ring—
A melodious sound came from the wind chime hung on the door. Jessica, who was teaching a part-timer to work on latte art, looked up. She saw a beautiful and elegant woman walking into the cafe.
As soon as she saw her, Jessica smiled. She was about to greet her, but she saw her blushing while her eyes were watery. Her lips were the most obvious, they were red and swollen as if they had been eaten by someone..
As for who ate it, Jessica could easily figure it out. Who else could it be other than the arrogant man, Patrick?
"Amelia!" Jessica immediately stuffed the tool into the part- timer's hand and shouted. As she saw Amelia passed by in a distracted manner.
Amelia came to herself. She turned around and saw Jessica rushed to her. Somehow, her eyes turned red.
Jessica came to her and immediately hugged her. "It's good that you're back. I'm so happy to be able to see you again!"
Amelia felt nothing at first, but when she heard her words, she could not hold back her tears. "Jessica, I, I thought... I could never see you again!"
About Amelia's experience in Italy, Jessica had already known about it briefly on the phone. It could be said that each part was full of risk and danger. She said with distress and sympathy, "Don't cry, it's all over!"
"Okay!" Amelia answered, but she still could not stop her tears.
As she tried to calm her down, Jessica said with lingering fear, "For you to be able to come back safe and sound, it's due to God's blessings as well as Patrick and Owen's great help. If it weren't for them, you would have been in grave danger!"
Amelia raised her head and looked at her sobbingly. "It's not just that. If you hadn't made a timely notification to Patrick, I would definitely not be able to be here now!"
"Eh, I've deliberately weakened my sense of presence just to show off Patrick glorious image. Why are you wronged?"
Jessica lowered her head and took out a packet of tissue paper from her apron pocket. She took a piece of it and personally wiped Amelia's face. "Don't cry. I'll be here for you."
Jessica was really taking her as a child, and Amelia's mood finally turned better because of this. "How has Sierra been recently?"
"Thanks to you, she's doing well!" If it were not for Amelia being helpful and supported Sierra's medical expenses, the child's condition would only get worse.
"Where is she?" Amelia looked around. As far as she knew, Jessica and her daughter had always been inseparable.
With shock, Jessica was already in a cold sweat. "That's too dangerous... Thank goodness you and your baby are both safe. Or I'll live with regret for the rest of my life!"
"Why would you say so?" Amelia did not think that the matter had anything to do with Jessica.
Jessica let out a wry laugh. "If you hadn't come to see me back then, you wouldn't have been kidnapped..."
"Don't make it that way!" Amelia opposed, "They were originally coming after me and Patrick. Even if I didn't see you that day, they would have kidnapped me by other means. It has nothing to do with you! Don't blame yourself anymore. Do you hear me?"
Jessica was very pleased with Amelia's comfort. It had been a long time since they had spoken openly to each other in such a way. She had actually missed it so much.
"By the way," Jessica thought of something and took out a bank card from her apron pocket. She gently pushed it to Amelia's hand and said, "This is a bank card from Patrick delivered by a baby face. I haven't spent a penny. Take it and help me return it
to him."
A baby face? And a bank card?
Amelia was stunned for a moment and asked, "Is that baby face called Richard?"
"Yes, it's him. The one looking fair and and cute."
As she spoke, Jessica glanced at the bank card on the table. "As for this card, he said it's gratitude fee. I may be obsessed with money, but you're my friend. How could our friendship be valued by
