Patrick looked at her and said, "It's none of your business. Jessica is a grown up so she can make her own decision. Similarly, she has to be responsible for her own choices."
"Even so, I'm still very worried about her. Think about it, if it's your friend who got hot-headed and insist on going to a dangerous place, will you pull him back?"
Sawyer had indeed promised her that she could keep in touch with Jessica at any time, and that he would not abuse her. But the more she thought about it, the more uneasy she was. Could Sawyer really tolerate Jessica who was constantly impulsive to have quarrels? She felt that it was completely unrealistic... Because Amelia did not have such a huge power while considering that Sawyer's temper was even worse.
Patrick touched her increasingly furrowed brows with his finger and gave her an idea. "Amy, didn't you say that Jessica herself didn't want to come back? Well, you can call and ask about her situation some day later. If she really can't stand it, she will then demand for the return."
"That's the only way." Amelia relaxed her eyebrows and held Patrick's hand. She said with some embarrassment, "Mr. Hopper, sorry to have bothered you with the issue of Jessica."
"Don't make it that way. Regardless of whose matter it was, you can tell me as long as you want to."

After Patrick took a shower, he returned to the bedroom. He saw Amelia sitting on the bed facing a laptop with headphones on her head. He approached her and found that she was listening to music while chatting on Whatsapp.
He took a peek at Sierra who was sleeping beside Amelia. After making sure that she was not woken up by him, Patrick waved his hand in front of Amelia's eyes a few times. When she turned her head to look at him, he pointed at the headphones on her head.
After Amelia took off her headphones, Patrick looked at the endless notifications on the screen and asked with interest, "Who are you chatting with?"
"They are all my former classmates. They know that I will remarry you next month. So when they saw me online, they all came to congratulate me." Amelia said with a smile.
Patrick nodded with understanding. In fact, all of his social medias had also been blowing up recently. But since he was cold to the public, the congratulations and blessings he received were quite standard as well. What would the messages she received look like? He wondered.
Then, he suddenly grabbed Amelia's waist and made her lean on his chest. In this way, he could see the message sent by others.
Amelia was stunned by his action, and then she asked after realisation, "Do you also want to have a look?"
"Yes, can I?"
"Of course." Amelia proved that there were no secrets between them through her actions. She moved her mouse and clicked on a few chat logs. They were basically asking for wedding candies, invitation cards, and gift money...
"What do you think, Mr. Hopper?" Amelia turned around and asked while pointing at the words "invitation" and "gift money".
Regarding the invitation, he said, "You can send it to them if you want."
Concerning the gift money, he said, "You may give any amount you like."
Amelia thought for a moment. "Actually, some are just mentioning it for fun. I can't even remember their names and appearances, so I guess won't give them invitations? Well... How about I'll send them gift money now. If they are willing to, they can send me their address. Then, I'll send them some wedding candies when the time comes. What do you think?"
"Sure." Patrick totally agreed with Amelia. It might be purely a friendly remark to ask for invitation. They might not truly show up even if they received the invitation. Besides, their relationship might have turned distant. If there came a classmate whom she had never met after primary school, she would become awkward as not knowing what to say.
It could be said that Amelia was rational while Patrick was indifferent in nature. Therefore, none of them wanted to get themselves in trouble and be embarrassed.
Amelia sent the gift money and asked for their addresses from the classmates she was not very familiar with. Some replied her while some directly went offline. It seemed that she was right. Some were simply making a fuss to ask for gift money.
Regarding those classmates, Amelia just laughed it away and then went to deal with the others.
When she casually clicked on a dialog box, a message saying, "Are you really an orphan?" suddenly popped up. Amelia closed the conversation without hesitation.
Noticing that her action was quick while she was even keeping a straight face, Patrick could not help asking, "This isn't the first time, right?"
"What is it not the first time?" Amelia played dumb.
"It's not the first time that you were asked about it." Patrick replied affirmatively.
Amelia could only turn around and pat on Patrick's chest to soothe him. She said, "Since everyone is different in this world. It doesn't matter. Just ignoring them will do."
Patrick said sullenly, "Those who asked such a question upon marriage should either have a low EQ or they did it on purpose."
"Even if it's intentional, I don't care. Because I'm confident that I'm living a better life than them. And that's enough." Amelia answered peacefully.
"Amy..." Patrick inevitably lost his temper after her rub and persuasion.
He hugged her waist and leaned forwards to kiss her for a long time. Then he said, "I will bring you happiness for the rest of your life."
"Mmm." Amelia nodded with her face and ears all red. She pretended to be calm as she got back to her laptop to make the replies. But even so, her hands were still a little trembling as she was typing.
After replying all the messages, Amelia rubbed her eyes. Under Patrick's strict dissuasion, she obediently put the laptop away from her and allowed him to place it back to the desk.
After a while, he returned to the bed and said to her, "It's half past ten, you should rest."
"Okay." Amelia did not haggle with him. She smoothed her hair and was ready to tuck in bed.
But in the next second, she looked at Sierra next to her uneasily. Then she turned to Patrick and said, "Mr. Hopper, I have another request."
"Stop making noises. Stretch your legs, or you won't be able to wear your pants."
"Ah ha!"
"Behave..."
"Ah..."
"If you shout again, I will make you go out half-naked!"
Sierra became quiet.
But the noise in the bathroom had inevitably waken Amelia up.
She squinted her eyes and looked around. Noticing that Patrick and Sierra were missing, she looked to a further area and saw the bathroom door closed. She supposed Patrick to have taken the little fellow to relieve.
After a while.
When Patrick came out of the bathroom with Sierra in his arms, Amelia asked with concern, "Did Sierra poop?"
"Yes. Fortunately you put a diaper on her last night, or us, together with our bed, will bear the suffer." Patrick said with a lingering fear.
Amelia was stunned for a moment before asking, "Do you mean that she had it in the diaper last night?"
"Yep." Patrick told Amelia briefly about him noticing the smell and then washing Sierra's butt.
"You've really... suffered." Amelia tried to hold back her laughter as she looked at him. "You shall leave it to me next time, in case it becomes your nightmare."
Patrick narrowed his eyes. "Amy, I can see you laughing!"
Amelia quickly turned her face away. "I didn't!" Patrick took his revenge to cover her little face with his big palm. He said while rubbing her face, "After washing the little fellow's buttocks, there's still odor in my hand."
Amelia was startled. She was about to hold her breath, but there was only a faint soap smell coming in her nose. She realised that Patrick had cleaned his hands and was just deliberately teasing her.
"How's the smell? Do you enjoy it?" Patrick was still scaring her.
