Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1705

"Putting on a show?"

Sawyer could not help but feel frustrated as he heard this. She was putting on a show, but he genuinely cared about her!

"Yes." Under Patrick’s protection, Amelia continued straightforwardly, "You sent someone to kill my husband, then you ruined my wedding, and restrained my freedom. You've also hurt my friends. Do you think I have any sincerity for you?"

As Sawyer listened to Amelia, his face gradually froze and turned indifferent. He understood her then. Amelia's mind had remained clear from the beginning and had never been affected by his threat and enticement!

After Amelia finished, she threw herself into Patrick’s arms. Even if Sawyer was pointing his gun at her, she was not afraid at all.

"Mr. Patrick, please take Miss Amelia

Ramsay to the car. It's time for us to retreat," someone said to Patrick.

Patrick nodded and carefully protected Amelia, about to take her to their car.

In the end, Sawyer croaked coldly, "Did I say I'm letting you two go?"

But Patrick kept walking towards the car without looking back.

As a response, Sawyer fired a bullet at the man in a bulletproof vest that was standing in front of Patrick. His shot had signalled the start of the battle!

Patrick's men immediately launched an attack. In a flash, the sounds of guns and shells rang out in the air.

Patrick quickly brought Amelia to the front of the car.

Patrick’s and the others' cars were also bulletproof, but it was not as good as Sawyer's car for an attack.

The reason why it was not as good was that Patrick and the rest were in a hurry to rush there as soon as they got off the plane. So, there was no time for them to buy cars with special functions.

After all, some of the car models would take some time to manufacture and assemble after confirmation. However, these cars were enough for Patrick to hold the battle for a while.

After Patrick pulled open the car door, he shielded Amelia's head with both hands and put her safely to the car seat. He then said, "Amy, I'll let someone send you to a safer place."

As his voice fell, he looked sideways at the others in the car and said with utmost solemnness, "Please take care of Amy. No matter what, please protect her!"

The men in the car all said, "Yes, sir!"

When the engine was roaring but Patrick still did not intend to get on the car, Amelia could not help but cry out worriedly, "Mr. Hopper, what about you?"

Patrick pointed at his heart. "I need to settle some score with Sawyer."

Amelia knew the faker had stabbed Patrick in the spot where he was pointing at the wedding. For a moment, Amelia was shaking with

resentment too.

Amelia was also aware that Patrick would not leave his subordinates alone and leave with her, as it was disloyal to do so. So, Amelia could only respect his decision. "Mr. Hopper, you have to come back to me safely. I'll wait for you!"

"Okay." After staring at her for a moment, Patrick instructed the driver, "Go."

Noticing that Amelia was about to leave, Sawyer immediately sent men to stop the car. However, Patrick's subordinates was a step ahead.

At the same time, the driver said to Amelia, "Miss Amelia Ramsay, just in case, please put on the bulletproof vest and helmet under your seat."

Amelia tore her gaze from the rearview mirror and replied softly, "Okay."

Maybe because her voice was too muffled, the driver checked up on her in the rearview mirror. After that, he found that she was crying. "Miss Amelia Ramsay, why are you crying?

Are you not feeling well?"

Amelia wiped her tears hurriedly and took out the bulletproof vest and helmet. She said while she put them on, "I'm fine. I'm just so overwhelmed that you guys have come to save me!" As she spoke, she continued looking at the rearview mirror. The situation was so chaotic that she could not see where Patrick was.

The few in the car saw that Amelia was on the edge of her seat, so they assured her, "Don't worry. They won't let anything happen to Mr. Patrick!" Amelia sincerely prayed, "It’s not only Patrick. I hope everyone will be safe." The men in the car heard her and smiled. If Amelia was only concerned about Patrick, they would feel slightly uncomfortable deep down although they would not say anything.

While Amelia was putting on the bulletproof vest, she could hear the clanging of the car when bullets shot at it, which increased her worry for Patrick. However, she knew that she could not help much, so she prayed that he would be fine.

"By the way, where are we going now?"

"To the airport. Mr. Patrick's private plane is waiting for us there."

On the other side.

When Sawyer saw that he could not stop Amelia, he vented his rage on Patrick and the rest.

But Patrick's men were not weak at all. If Sawyer's men hurt them, they would pay back three- fold. After several rounds of crossfire, there were more casualties on Sawyer's side.

At the sight of this, Sawyer immediately ordered his subordinates to cover his retreat.

Patrick's subordinates soon saw through Sawyer's intention. "Mr. Patrick! He's running away!"

"Owen!" Patrick did not expect Owen to be so intense. Even if Sawyer deserved death, he had to wait for the legal trial after he returned. Also, there was an innocent person, Sissi, in the car. If they had died here, Owen would not be able to explain himself after he went back.

Owen glanced at Patrick and said, "Don't worry. This won’t kill them."

When Patrick heard Owen's firm tone, Patrick looked back. The grenade that was fired landed behind Sawyer's car, and the pressure from the explosion flipped the car over.

This time, Sawyer's Hummer could not continue its journey.

When the car turned, Sawyer’s head hit the bulletproof glass. His face paled from the pain.

As for Sissi, she had fainted from the successive blows and shocks. This was well since it saved Sawyer a lot of effort from trying to persuade her to calm down.

Right at this moment, Sawyer's head was facing down and his legs up. Blood was gushing to his head, but he still retained his rationality. After stretching out his arm and groping around, he finally opened the car lock.

This way, his men outside could open the car door and drag him out.

Afterwards, Sawyer quietly shut his eyes. He knew that he could not escape this time. Instead of struggling uselessly, it was better to seize the time to rest up and wait for the next opportunity to counterattack.

When the few American troops dragged Sawyer, Sissi, and the driver out of the car, Owen pointed at the 'passed out' Sawyer and Sissi, then said, "We're taking them with us now. As for the rest, we'll leave them to you."

The rest' referred to the gangsters Sawyer had brought along.

They were unfortunate for being caught by the police. This time, their past and history would all be dug up!

At Los Angeles's airport.

At this moment, Amelia, who was seeking asylum here, was anxiously looking at the bustling crowd while trying to find Patrick.

But when she saw that none of them was Patrick, her eyes reddened again unconsciously. She could not help putting her hand on her belly and trying to support herself in this way.

At the sight of this, the several men who were responsible for Amelia’s safety secretly exchanged glances as if they were discussing how to cheer her up.

Finally, they started by telling jokes one by one. No matter if it was funny, they only needed to distract Amelia.

Time went by, and one of their phones suddenly rang.

Amelia hurriedly asked as she heard the voice,, "Is there any news about Mr. Hopper?"
