Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1720

Owen could not help but pause for a second as he heard Patrick's words. Then, a look of epiphany showed on his face. "Not bad, Patrick! All right, we'll do that!"

As for how to do it?

The brothers both shared an outline in their minds that were waiting to be put into action.

They believed that Sawyer's expression would be interesting when the time arrived.

The next day.

When Amelia woke up, she felt that something was pressing on top of her hand. After she took a look, she found that it was a man's hand.

So, she looked towards her arm and saw Patrick sleeping beside her, which put a smile on her face.

After she watched his asleep frame quietly for a while, Amelia suddenly needed to go to the toilet, so she gently pried Patrick’s hand off hers with another hand.

In the next moment, she heard Patrick frown and whisper, "Amy!"

Then, he grabbed her hand firmly with almost the strength to crush it.

Amelia gasped by his force as she was caught off guard.

Patrick woke up from the startle as she heard her voice.

The moment he opened his eyes, he saw that Amelia had a painful expression on her face. It was then that Patrick realized that he had gripped her hand and quickly let go of her. He then ruffled his hair and replied apologetically, "Amy, I..."

"It's fine." After Amelia shook her hands to relieve the pain, she looked at Patrick with concern and asked, "Did you have a nightmare?"

Patrick nodded. "Yes, I dreamt of the wedding."

"No wonder you were calling my name," Amelia responded as she used her fingertip to brush Patrick's bangs lightly. Then, she looked into his eyes and said slowly, "Mr. Hopper, don't be afraid. I'm right here, in front of you. You'll be able to hug me as long as you reach out."

Patrick then blinked and pulled her into an embrace without saying a word.

Amelia gently leaned into his arms too. She knew that Patrick was not someone who liked to expose his vulnerable side to others, but how many times had he experienced such sorrow and helplessness in a dream?

After a slight sigh, Amelia made up her mind to comfort him as much as she could. "Mr. Hopper, you know what?

"I slept peacefully last night because you were with me. I didn't realise when you took a bath, asked someone to add a bed, and when you got into bed beside me."

"Perhaps my subconscious mind felt that you'll no longer put me in danger, and the truth is just as I thought. When I woke up, you were by my side.”

"This makes me feel that you're my and the child's guardian angel, who will always protect us when we need you the most. Am I right?"

"Amy, I'm ashamed." Patrick lowered his head and kissed her forehead. He then blamed self-deprecatingly, "I should be the one consoling you, but it turned out to be the other way round."

At that, Amelia hurriedly raised her head to look at him. "Don't say that. I know you have a lot of pressure on you. Don't worry. I won't laugh at you."

Patrick heard her and could not help but lower his head again. Then, he rubbed his nose against her soft neck.

Although he did not reply, he was relaxed and grateful.

While being held by Patrick, Amelia remembered that she needed to go to the bathroom.

She looked at Patrick with a conflicted expression, then reached out to press her bladder in the hope that she could hold on a little longer.

Patrick noticed her action, so he asked, "Amy, what's wrong?"

At this moment, many media outlets were squatting at the entrance of the hospital with all kinds of camera equipment in their hands.

Some of them were somewhat disguised, while the rest seemed as if they needed the world to know that they were at the hospital. The paparazzi then paced at the hospital entrance so that they could block Amelia's way when they encounter her.

After the dean learned of the whole scene, the dean told Patrick on the phone and asked him about what to do.

When Patrick heard that there were reporters downstairs, he quickly walked to the window and drew the curtains so as to ruin Amelia's mood.

After that, he said in a faint, cold voice so that Amelia could not hear, "Your hospital is to treat patients, not to let others do what they want. Do I need to teach you what to do?"

Just like that, the dean was frightened and sweated. Then, he said, 'TH ask the security to drive them away right now." After that, the dean ended the call in a sullen mood.

When Patrick put down his phone and turned back around, he saw Amelia's lively eyes as she asked, "What happened?"

"Nothing." Patrick smiled and appeared nonchalant.

"Then why did you draw the curtains all of a sudden?"

"Oh, the sun is a little blinding."

"It's fine. I haven't basked in the sun for the past three months. Let me have a look."

Amelia said as she approached Patrick.

Patrick stopped her in a rush as he saw this. "Amy, we've already made an appointment for the medical checkup. Let's go. Don't delay it."

Amelia stared at him for a while. Then suddenly, she pursed her lips and said, "Mr. Hopper, you're hiding something from me."
