Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1936

Hearing his refusal, Maryanne could not help but ask, "Are you sure you don't need it? I'm not wearing any gloves today. Aren't you nervous?"

"No, that's not a big deal. And it's quite unique after I stare at it for some time." Jarvy spoke as if he was telling the truth.

"Unique?" Maryanne paused and said, "This is the first time I've heard such comforting words. You're such a good person."

So the "good man" Jarvy went to his company with Maryanne.

He was running an entertainment company, where there were paparazzi and reporters lying in ambush.

Usually, Jarvy did not pay attention to this, but since knowing that Maryanne was coming to his company today, he had asked the security guards to case everyone away in advance to ensure that there would not be any malicious reporters coming to interview him and Maryanne.

Before, he wanted to use the media to confirm his relationship with Maryanne. Now he regretted it. Unfortunately, there was no turning back. He could only minimize the negative effects on himself as much as possible.

When the car arrived at the company's entrance, a doorman came up to open the door for Jarvy.

When the doorman saw Maryanne sitting in the passenger seat, a sense of familiarity flashed across his eyes. Obviously, everyone in the company had heard that Maryanne was Jarvy's girlfriend.

They were originally still talking about it, but Maryanne didn't show up again after the press conference. Did she break up with Mr. Tomson already?

Unexpectedly, after a period of time, she finally showed up again, and it was obviously that they were still together.

Jarvy ignored the doorman's curious eyes and turned to Maryanne, saying gently, "Maryanne, we can get off now."

"Okay." As Maryanne unbuckled her seat belt, the doorman had already moved to her side and opened the car door for her.

"Miss Maryanne Smith, be careful." Seeing Maryanne stepping out, the doorman immediately covered her head with his hand to avoid her hitting the roof and being exposed to the sunshine from the outside.

After Maryanne came out, she stared at the doorman and asked, "Do you know me?"

The doorman closed the door gently for her and replied respectfully, "Yes, I was lucky enough to meet you that night when you attended the press conference."

Hearing that, Maryanne used her hand to hook her hair to her ear and the doorman looked at her with a dull look. Maryanne looked back and him and said to Jarvy, who just walked out of the car, "I find that your company's doorman is more lovely than other doormen. Can't this child debut?"

Hearing this, Jarvy looked sideways at the doorman who was looking at Maryanne, who was holding her hair, in surprise. He thought to himself, "Is he lovely? He looks dumb."

"What are you looking at?" he asked in a low voice.

The doorman suddenly came to his senses. After meeting Jarvy's cold eyes, he quickly lowered his head and dared not to look at Maryanne again.

Jarvy immediately said to Maryanne, "Maryanne, he's new here, so don't mind him."

Maryanne replied, "Do you think I mind the way he looks at me? Don't worry, I won't mind. After all, I'm so beautiful. Isn't it normal for others to look at me?"

Then, Maryanne looked at the doorman's eyes and asked with a smile, "Isn't that right, little doorman?"

As soon as he met Maryanne's beautiful and smart eyes, the doorman's face instantly turned red, and after two seconds he spitted out a "hmm".

"Are you shy? You're so cute." Maryanne let out a soft laugh and turned around in a good mood. She said to Jarvy, who was standing across the car with an uncertain expression on his face, "Let's go. You have to show me around your company today."

Maryanne would often reach out to touch her earring or fiddle with her hair at this time, allowing his subordinates to look at her.

In this regard, it was unknown how many times Jarvy had pulled his tie. He could not help but quicken his pace, wishing to finish touring her as soon as possible.

Maryanne suddenly stopped when they passed by the conference room. She looked inside through the glass door and said to him excitedly, "Didn't you say you were going to have a meeting? Hurry up and go in."

This morning was the day when the company gathered all the entertainers and agents to plan the following development route. Everyone who looked stunning was gathered inside. Jarvy did not want to lose face, so he said to Maryanne, "No need. It's the same with the deputy general manager there."

"But I want to go in and have a look," Maryanne said delicately. "I promise that after entering, I'll only take a look. I won't listen and say anything. Unless someone has a conversation with me first, okay?"

Could Jarvy say "no"? If he did, all his previous efforts would be wasted.

"Well, I'll go in and tell them first."

Maryanne's beautiful face turned serious. "Why does it have to be formal? Do you think I'll divulge the secret of your meeting? If you think I'm that kind of person..."

Jarvy hurriedly said, "Of course not, I'm just afraid that they will say something unkind in front of you and hurt you."

"Do you think I'm the kind of person who will be hurt easily?" Maryanne asked with her arms crossed.

Indeed, it was good enough that she did not hurt anyone.

Jarvy, who had been badly wounded by Maryanne, had a feeling.
