Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1954

"Tonight?" Maryanne thought for a moment and quickly replied, "Sure, let's make it tonight!"

Jarvy's face was full of surprise, "It's great that you can agree!"

Maryanne replied, "I'll definitely perform well tonight. I won't disappoint you."

Although she said so, she was thinking: After tonight, she must make Jarvy completely give up on her!

Jarvy smiled faintly. "Alright, I'll wait and see."

In the end, his eyes fell on her clothes, and he said with concern, "After breakfast, I'll take you to buy new clothes."

Maryanne did not accept his goodwill. "No need. I think it's good to be like this. Or do you want to show me off to your best friends?"

"Of course not!" Jarvy explained, "I just want to be good to you!"

He couldn't figure it out. Women were always irresistible to dressing up, weren't they?

Why was it that every time he tried to please her, it was like he had poked Maryanne's sore spot and could never make her happy?

Maryanne looked into his eyes with a faint smile. "Aren't you afraid that your best friends would fall for me when you dress me up so beautifully?"

After being electrified by her, Jarvy looked at her hand habitually to restore his consciousness, "How can that be? They are all my good friends. They won’t steal someone's lover."

"You're generous, but I don't wish to take the risk," Maryanne said, giving an example. "I don't want any suitors like Alexer to come after me anymore. I can't take it anymore."

"Alright then," Jarvy said regretfully.

At this moment, he suddenly realized that Maryanne was not interested in dressing up for him, much less anything else!

As Alexer said, Maryanne had no interest in the four of them.

So that day, she purposely acted that way in front of his employees and parents so that he would give up on her!

It was a truth that the brother and sister had fooled him after all!

Therefore, he must make Maryanne pay!

When night fell, Jarvy and Maryanne went to attend the party that he and his best friends held for her.

The party was held in a villa. According to Jarvy, this villa belonged to his friend. They could do whatever they wanted.

Then, he told Maryanne in an apologetic tone that if it wasn't for his parents' obstinate thinking, he would have chosen to hold a party at his home.

Maryanne replied, "It's alright. It doesn't matter where the location is. The most important thing is that we can have fun."

If there were no elders, she could have gone even more overboard.

"You're right. The most important thing is that we can play as much as we want."

A dim light flashed across Jarvy's eyes. He held the door handle with his hand and tilted his head at her. "Then let's go in now, shall we?"

Maryanne nodded.

Therefore, Jarvy pushed open the door to the villa.

The lights in the villa were bright, causing Maryanne to subconsciously narrow her eyes. Following that, she heard a dreamy tune.

She listened carefully and found the lyrics were dirty. She couldn't help but glance at Jarvy. "It's a dirty song, huh?"

After frowning, Jarvy said, "Sorry, I'll let them shut it down as soon as I get in!"

Maryanne didn't want to pretend to be innocent. "No need. I've heard a lot when I went to the nightclub."

"Really? That's good." Jarvy grinned.

At this time, he looked a little unrestrained, like a wolf walking out of the gate.

Maryanne looked away and said, "Someone's

coming."

As soon as she finished her words, a man with curly hair appeared in front of them. He first punched at Jarvy, and then looked at Maryanne.

Maryanne let him size her up.

Jarvy said, "Louis, this is Maryanne. She's my..."

Louis smiled. "She's your girlfriend. I know."

Afraid that Maryanne would get angry, Jarvy quickly turned to look at her.

Maryanne did not react. "Can we go in now?"

"Yes." Jarvy told Louis, who was blocking the door, "Get out of the way!"

Louis caught hold of Maryanne's neck, and the curly hair on his head almost rubbed her face. "Don't be so cold. My name is Louis. Can I call you Maryanne like Jarvy?"

Jarvy shouted, "Louis!"

Maryanne glanced at Louis from the corner of her eyes. Her gaze was filled with arrogance. "Who do you think you are? Are you worthy of my nickname?"

Louis paused for a while and whistled. "You really have a personality."

Maryanne took out her previous posture of being harassed at the nightclub and said, "If you don't let me go now, do you believe that my brother will get someone to chop your hands off?"

"Who is your brother?"

Louis scratched the curly hair on his head. "You like handsome guys? Then why were you so cold to me just now?"

Maryanne gave him a sidelong glance. "Because I don't like your curly hair. Is that

alright?"

Louis explained, "It's a natural curl."

Maryanne's face was expressionless as she replied, "Then it's your parents' fault."

The men burst into laughter and called Maryanne a little pepper in their hearts.

"Okay, can we start now?" Maryanne asked.

"Of course." The person who suggested drawing the ghost card asked as he washed the cards, "Jarvy, are you joining as well?"

Jarvy put his hands on the edge of the sofa and shook his head at them. "No, I'll stand here and supervise you, in case you cheat and take advantage of Maryanne."

The men all laughed in their hearts. Maryanne's wild nature was hard to tame. Who knew whether they would take advantage of her or it would be the other way round?

When the poker cards were spread out on the glass table like a long dragon, the men indicated Maryanne to draw first with the fine tradition of "Lady first".

Maryanne did not hesitate to reach out her hand.

When the lights landed on the backs of her hands, the expression of the men changed. Some of them even let out a hissing sound.

Maryanne looked left and right at them, with a hint of mockery in her eyes. "You're scared just like that? Are you guys men?"

Louis blurted out, "It's your hand that is too terrifying!"

Maryanne looked indifferent as she replied, "Oh? Does that mean I can't even play cards?"

Louis was choked by her and looked at Jarvy subconsciously.

Jarvy said, "Maryanne's hand was injured before, that's why it's like this. Don't make a fuss, let's continue to play."

All the men pretended as if nothing had happened, and Maryanne also drew an Ace of Hearts out.

It was not a ghost. The game went on.

While everyone was drawing the cards, Jarvy walked to the bar counter nearby, picked up an empty glass, and poured a glass of whiskey into it. Then he secretly put the drug in it with his back to Maryanne and the others. After shaking the glass neatly, he put it aside and began to pour new wine.

After that, he passed the wine to the people who were still drawing cards with a tray and they all took their drinks respectively.

When he placed the wine, which had been drugged, next to Maryanne's hand, Jarvy's heart was almost filled with malice.

"Ah!" At this time, Louis looked at Maryanne and said, "There are only two cards left, and the probability of you getting a ghost card is 50%. Everyone can start thinking about how to punish her."

Maryanne silently glanced at him: Punishment? Ha, when she was playing it in the nightclub, this group of people was probably doing something else. Did they think they could win against her so easily?
