Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1955

Maryanne placed her finger on one of the cards and stared at the person responsible for shuffling.

The man's pupils contracted slightly. She immediately turned her hand to another card. When she opened it, she found that it was a nine of spades and the crisis was solved.

Maryanne could not help but laugh coldly when she saw the disappointed looks on the men's faces. She was right. They had done something to the cards.

In other words, these men had already known in advance which one was the ghost card, so when she stretched her hand to the ghost card, the man responsible for shuffling the cards narrowed his pupils, which was a sign of nervousness and excitement.

She had seen this kind of trap too many times in nightclubs. There were always some silly girls who were tricked by the those cheap men using this kind of trap.

"Now it's your turn." Maryanne pointed at Louis.

Louis felt that he was being targeted. "Just tell me how you're going to punish me!"

The men were also a little stunned at this time. They had thought that Maryanne would have chosen the ghost card. They did not expect that she would be able to survive unscathed.

"What's the point of punishing a man?" Someone joked.

"You can drink." The other man pointed to the wine glasses on the table and said, "Jarvy just poured each of us a glass of wine. Louis, you can enjoy them all."

Hearing this, Louis curled his lips, "Sure."

"Hiccup!" When Louis finished most of the glasses on the table and was ready to take Maryanne's wine glass, Jarvy said, "Wait a minute."

Louis looked up at him. "For?"

Jarvy's expression was slightly unnatural. "I poured it for Maryanne.”

"Oh." Louis nodded and withdrew his hand. "Don't worry. I won't kiss your girlfriend indirectly."

Jarvy secretly heaved a sigh of relief.

After Louis's punishment ended, everyone began to play a new round of ghost games. Jarvy resigned to his fate and refilled the empty wine glasses.

Soon, it was time for Maryanne to choose.

All the men held their breath and concentrated as they waited for her to draw the ghost card. They wanted her to do something to Jarvy.

However, Maryanne drew an ordinary card again, and the punishment fell on Louis again.

At first, the group of men was just bragging about how lucky Maryanne was. They could not bring themselves to laugh after she managed to dodge their traps several times in a row.

They could not tell if Maryanne was really that lucky, or if she had seen something.

As for Louis, he, who had been forced to drink for several rounds, was on the verge of collapse. "Who... who... would come... and play for me?"

Anyway, he didn't want to sit in this position anymore. Every time Maryanne won, it was his turn. This meant that if Maryanne didn't win the game, he would be the one who would suffer in the end!

Originally, they had planned to give welfare to Jarvy, but now it had completely turned into Louis's punishment game. The men felt both funny and angry, but they did not believe that they could not defeat a little girl, so the game continued.

Maryanne could only say that they were all silly and cute.

When Maryanne finally won the game for the tenth time, Louis shouted with a belly full of alcohol, "Let's stop playing it! This game is not fun at all!"

When the men saw that he was full of resentment and that Maryanne had not been in danger, they could only stop playing.

Jarvy stood behind Maryanne and said gently, "Maryanne, you're so good that you can avoid the ghost card every time."

The faces of the men froze when they heard that. They could pretty much be sure that Maryanne had already seen through their tricks.

In a game like this, if you made a mistake, it would be very easy for you to kiss each other. The men used this way to make Maryanne and Jarvy have intimate contact.

"Maryanne, don't worry. I will be very careful later," Jarvy said with great respect for Maryanne.

Maryanne nodded and the game began.

She started the game. She raised the thin paper towel with her hand, and then quickly raised her face to blow on it. The paper towel immediately drifted toward the direction of Jarvy.

Jarvy did not take advantage of the situation. Just as the tissue was about to land in front of him and Maryanne, he blew on it, and the tissue immediately flew towards the man beside him.

Since that man had been paying attention to whether Jarvy and Maryanne would take the opportunity to kiss, he only regained his senses and started blowing when the tissue covered his face. However, it was a failure.

As a result, that person was punished to do 30 push-ups.

"Hey! So angry!" As the loser of the last round, Louis felt deep sympathy for his punished companion.

They were obviously creating an opportunity for Jarvy and Maryanne, but why couldn't they get close to each other? Instead, the love cupids were always punished?

After the third round, the group of old men did not want to play anymore.

Because Jarvy and Maryanne were playing games seriously, but this game was used for flirting. It was better if they could kiss each other!

Louis rubbed his mouth and asked, "Hey, are you tired of blowing?"

"Of course, I'm tired.” Someone ridiculed.

"Then stop playing and let's sing! " Louis said as he grabbed the two microphones on the table, threw one to Jarvy, and handed the other to Maryanne, "Didn't you say that you can drink or sing? Sing a song together with Jarvy."
