Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1963

Hobart took out his ID card from his wallet and handed it to the police officer when he was being stared at by the police officer on duty. "I'm Maryanne's brother. I'm asking to meet those scums who hurt my sister!"

The police on duty lowered his head to look at Hobart's ID card. The same surname as Maryanne's on it almost proved that what he said was true.

"Okay, come with me." The policeman on duty took Hobart into a lounge and said, "I need to consult the leader first. When he agrees, I will take you to the interrogation room."

"Okay!" Hobart knew that everything had to be done in a proper manner, and this was not a place where he could act as he wished. He sat down and waited patiently.

Three minutes later, Hobart was brought to the interrogation room. He stood in front of seemingly transparent glass and glared at Jarvy, who was inside the interrogation room.

From the inside, one could not see Hobart.

The more Hobart looked at Jarvy, the angrier he became. He could not help but yell at the policemen beside him, "Let me in!"

The police officer shook his head. "Our leader only allows you to stand outside and listen."

"What?" Hobart frowned in dissatisfaction.

The policeman said again, "If you can't accept it, I can only send you away."

Hobart shut his mouth and did not speak.

In the interrogation room.

A policeman knocked on the table with his pen, indicating for Jarvy to focus.

After loosening his tie, Jarvy asked calmly, "Police officer, finally it's my turn?"

The police looked at him seriously. "According to your friends, you are the initiator of tonight's party?"

"Yes." Jarvy did not deny it in the slightest.

"In that case, you're the one who drugged Miss Maryanne Smith."

The police used a declarative sentence, and the person with a weak psychological endurance would be frightened.

However, Jarvy still replied faintly, ’’Police officer, what do you mean by that? I would say that Maryanne drugged herself. Do you believe that?"

The police officer asked, "Oh? What do you think her motive is by drugging herself?"

Jarvy narrowed his eyes slightly and looked a little gloomy. "Because she wanted to ruin my image in front of my friends. In fact, this is not the first time that she has done this. Do you want me to tell you everything in detail, police officer?"

The police officer nodded.

Hence, Jarvy began to talk about Maryanne's performance at his company and at his home. The police quickly recorded it.

Hobart, who was inside the interrogation room, heard Jarvy's words clearly. At the same time, he was also very angry, "He is simply talking nonsense!"

The policeman standing beside him said, "Hobart, please calm down."

Hobart pointed at Jarvy's face and said angrily, "But he is slandering my sister!"

The policeman pressed his lips together and said, "I am now talking to you about the matter of Miss Maryanne Smith being drugged. Don't miss the main point."

"Alright, alright, you're just suspecting that I'm the one who drugged Maryanne, aren't you?" Jarvy said, "Then I would like to ask, why did I not do anything to her after I drugged her?"

"According to the police who have arrested you, you were playing porn video at that time, and you were pulling Miss Maryanne Smith's collar and plotting an uprising."

"I was helping her, sir!" Jarvy said in an innocent tone, "If I hadn't used a porn video to divert Maryanne's attention, she would've done it with us long ago."

"Nonsense!" Hobart screamed, but Jarvy in the interrogation room couldn't hear him.

The policeman beside him shook his head silently. Luckily, the leader had only asked Hobart to listen. If he were to enter and meet Jarvy face to face, they would definitely be fighting.

Hobart was worried that the police would be deceived by Jarvy's slick tongue. He could not help but say, "Officer, when someone is drugged, why would they use a porn video to divert their attention? This will only add fuel to the flames. I have experience in this area, and Jarvy is definitely lying."

"I know." The policeman nodded and said, "Hobart, why don't you go back first? When your sister comes to identify him personally, our leader will naturally arrange for you to meet Jarvy."

Hobart put his hands on the glass and glared fiercely at the person inside, saying, "No, I'm not going back. I want to listen here and see what he's going to say!"

Jarvy just skimmed off his responsibilities, so that the police officer in charge of the interrogation could not find a loophole for the time being.

There was one thing that he had done right, that was, he and his friends had not violated Maryanne, even if it was only once.

In the end, it was Maryanne who was dragged into the water and became the person who had deceived Jarvy.

Once again, Hobart felt deeply regretful. He was a fool to trust the wrong person!
