Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1965

"Brother, I can't finish these later. Can you let me pack them back?"

Maryanne tried to save her reputation in Milton's heart, so she said that.

"What's so good about packing the broken things on this table?"

Hobart was upset for a while before asking, "Where do you want to go with me?"

Maryanne blurted out, "Back to the hotel."

Hobart's eyes darkened as he tried to persuade her. "Come home with me. The world outside is too chaotic. A girl like you is prone to suffer."

Maryanne shook her head. "Brother, it's not that the world outside is chaotic. The person you introduced to me is too bad..."

At the end of her words, she shrank her neck, as if she was afraid of being scolded by him.

Hobart choked up and raised his hand to give Maryanne a bowl of soup buns. "Let's talk about it after you're done," he said somewhat gloomily.

"Okay," Maryanne replied and picked up a shrimp dumpling for Milton. "Honey, your right hand hasn't recovered yet. Do you want me to feed it to you?" she asked solicitously.

Hobart glared at the man who was carefully cared for by his younger sister as he bit hard on the meat bun in his mouth.

Milton smiled and said, "No, I've gotten used to using my left hand recently."

"Really? My dear, you're so awesome that nothing can stump you!"

How could Maryanne not know this?

Since she didn't wear gloves and started to disguise herself, she sneaked into the Home of Cook many times and accompanied Milton to eat from time to time. So she knew that he would have his meal with his left hand.

The reason why she asked was that she wanted her brother to know that she valued Milton more than herself.

After the three of them were full, Maryanne called the waiter to pack up the rest of the breakfast. Hobart's mouth opened and finally turned into a sigh.

Then they arrived at the police station.

The police on duty naturally went to the leader's office to report about their arrival.

Coincidentally, Owen was also there. He said, "General Director, the victim knows my brother and sister-in-law, so I hope you can act accordingly for this matter."

"That's easy." The director agreed without hesitation and said to the on-duty policeman who came to ask for instructions, "You take the victim and her family to see the suspect now."

"Yes." The police on duty immediately went to do it.

The director then asked Owen with a smile, "Owen, how should I take care of them in specifics?"

Owen said, "If the victim and her family accidentally hit the suspect, I hope you can forgive them."

The director said generously, "Of course. If you need anything else, feel free to tell me."

On the other side-

Jarvy was temporarily in custody. As for his best friends, they were held separately from him, one in each cell.

When the police brought him into the interrogation room, he looked at Maryanne first. For some reason, he smiled at her with an evil spirit.

He was actually so evil but always pretended to be a gentleman. Maryanne realized that she had never seen through him.

After Jarvy took his seat, he picked up the microphone embedded in the glass wall, placed it beside his ear, and calmly lifted his chin at Maryanne.

Maryanne also picked up the microphone and subconsciously straightened her back. Her eyes met Jarvy's.

Jarvy asked, "Maryanne, are you here to bail

me?"

Hobart felt bitter in his throat.

"You can't answer me, right? Are we the so-called friends?" Jarvy said mockingly.

Hobart's expression turned a little ugly. "...Even if I did not tell you about this, you could have ended your pursuit of Maryanne after you discovered it, right?"

"What do you mean? I should be the one suffering losses in silence, right?" Jarvy's gaze could not conceal its coldness. "Mr. Smith, looks like there's no need for us to continue talking. The two of you are the ones who play with others without shame."

"I've let you down before!" Hobart said bluntly. "But you hurt Maryanne after that! These two matters can never be mixed together!"

"So what?" Jarvy asked a little tiredly, "Please make yourself clear, Mr. Smith. I didn't rest well last night, so I can't think clearly."

Hobart replied, "So, these are two different things. Your revenge on Maryanne is over. Now it's my turn to seek justice from you!"

"Alright, as long as you have evidence." Jarvy continued.

During the conversation, a policeman suddenly came over and whispered in Hobart's ear, "The director allowed you to enter the interrogation room."

Hobart was stunned and asked subconsciously, "Why did you allow us to enter the interrogation room? "

"Do whatever you want, as long as you don't kill people," the police said.

Hobart could not help but laugh.

He turned on the microphone and got up to loosen his muscles. "I'll be back soon," he said to Maryanne, who was clueless about what was going on.

"Brother?" Maryanne did not understand what he meant, but she quickly understood.

In a short while, Hobart appeared in Jarvy's interrogation room.

In the questioning of "what do you want to do" from Jarvy, he beat him up!
