Tyler grabbed the man’s collat, his eyes icy and fear–inducing

Tyler didn’t say anything out of the ordinary, but the warning in his eyes sent a chill down the man’s back.

He was shocked into silence by Tyler’s aura and stared blankly at Tyler, stunned, his face pale. He didn’t dare to say another word.

“Do you understand what I said?” Tyler snarled.

The man nodded, still in a daze. “I… I do.”

Tyler let him go; he stumbled a few steps back, almost losing his balance. Sawyer held him steady from behind, and he finally regained his footing.

Sawyer glared at his friend. “You’re useless! What are you so scared of? We’re at the police station. He can’t do a thing to you.”

The other man started trembling. “No, Sawyer. His eyes are seriously scary. Why don’t we just forget about this? What if he isn’t just an ordinary man and is someone we can’t afford to offend?”

Sawyer smacked the back of his head hard. “Do you have a problem up here? What are you so scared of? That he’ll swallow you whole? Didn’t I tell you that I have connections and we don’t need to fear him!”

Sawyer didn’t talk very loudly, but Tyler heard him anyway.

Tyler was wearing a smart suit, his aura a stark contrast with theirs.

He helped Rachel into a bench and sat by her side, his voice low and soothing and lending a mesmerizing ambiance to the entire station.

Even the policemen didn’t dare to utter a word and simply looked at each other.

“I advise you to come clean. Let me make it clear right here–even if your relative is the mayor, it’s pointless to me. For all you know, your relatives might end up implicated by your actions.”

Some people were naturally domineering. These words may sound like nothing coming from someone else, but from Tyler, they sounded threatening and imposing.

The other two men’s faces paled with fright as they turned to look at Sawyer.

“Sawyer, let’s just forget about it! I’m really worried. If this man is really as impressive as he looks, we might be asking for trouble.”

Sawyer, however, didn’t care one bit about his friend’s concern. He was bent on pitting himself against Tyler today.

Sawyer pushed the two men away and walked straight toward Tyler, trying his best to hide the fear creeping from his heart.
