“But I’m going to settle scores with you.
Rachel yanked her hand out of Sheryn’s hold,

Sheryn stepped forward to stop Rachel, who pointed at her and warned, “If you take one more step, don’t blame me for being nasty! I can call the police right now!”
Sheryn didn’t dare to move a muscle.
Rachel dialed Tyler’s number, glaring coldly at Sheryn and Anne the whole time.
“Mr. Hunt, would you like to come over to meet someone?
“Got it.”
Tyler didn’t ask much, but through Rachel’s tone, he could guess that she probably bumped into someone very unexpected and unwelcome.
When he rushed over and saw Sheryn, his brows furrowed and his jawline tensed. He looked at her, his eyes sharp and incisive. When he spoke, displeasure laced his voice.
“What are you doing here?”
Fear rose in Sheryn’s chest the moment she saw Tyler. Frightened, she stammered, “T–Tyler…”
“Ms. Sheryn Lyons, are you talking to me? Don’t forget, we aren’t related anymore,” Tyler sneered.
Tears fell to Sheryn’s cheeks. She bit her lips and shook her head indignantly.
“Tyler, you have got to believe me! This has nothing to do with me! It’s her, Anne! Anne was the one who did it. She likes you and asked for my help to ruin Rachel. That way, you’ll belong to her!”
Seeing Sheryn push all the blame to her, Anne was shocked and disappointed.
“Sheryn, you… How could you do this? How could you blame it all on me when things go wrong? Who went looking for Sawyer? Wasn’t it you? Weren’t you the one behind everything that happened today? Why are you blaming it all on me? You’re doing this now because things went south! I took such a huge risk because of you. Didn’t you say that we are best friends?!”
Rachel found the whole thing hilarious.
“You two are toxic friends. There’s nothing genuine! Anne Charlton, you’re capable at work. You’ll succeed in whatever you put your mind to. But you’re getting yourself ruined by Sheryn right now. You’re so smart, so why didn’t you think this through? Sheryn likes Tyler, and so do you. Do you really believe that the rival of your rival is a friend?”
Hearing that, something finally connected in Anne’s brain; she could now see through Sheryn.
“Fine, Sheryn! Since you want to be ruthless, I’ll make it very simple. Let’s thrash things out in the open.”
