Chapter 785
Rachel didn’t have time to explain to Jerry.
“Don’t worry about the details. Just take this and get it done. But be mindful of how you handle it. If you can settle things peacefully, that’s best. If not, then show this to him.”
“Got it.” Jerry was already full of confidence.
With this in hand, not only could he get Sheryn and Wilma on a call, but even forcing Jeremy to kneel wasn’t out of the question.
As soon as Rachel hung up, she rushed upstairs. The moment she reached the entrance, she was stopped by the police.
Rachel quickly identified herself.
“I know her. Let me go up. Maybe I can stop her.”
The two officers exchanged a look before one nodded.
“Alright, go on.”
“Thank you.”
Rachel hurried inside and raced toward the rooftop. Just seeing the height from there made her legs turn wobbly.
Wilma had already gone above and beyond for Sheryn. After all, Sheryn wasn’t even her biological daughter, yet she had done so much for her.
Rachel was about to step forward when suddenly someone grabbed her wrist. Turning around, she saw Tyler.
His eyes locked on her in disbelief. His voice was low and strained.
“What are you doing here?”
Rachel frowned before casting another worried glance at Wilma, who was already sitting on the edge of the rooftop.

Everyone else stood back at a distance, too afraid to make a move and worried they’d push Wilma over the edge.
“With something this big going on, did you really think you could keep it from me? Is that even possible?” Rachel said.
“What good will it do for you to be here? Go back.” Tyler pressed a hand against her back, ready to make her
leave.
Rachel spun around and grabbed his wrist. Her gaze was steady and serious as she looked at him. “Trust me. I can get her down. You shouldn’t hold me back right now. If she really jumps and dies, do you have any idea what’s coming for you?”
The consequences weren’t something anyone could bear. Even losing the entire company wouldn’t be enough to
cover it.

Tyler met her gaze. “Do you really have a way?”

“I do. Trust me. Let me talk to her first. If I can persuade her, then everything else will fall into place.”
Tyler hesitated.
Of course, Rachel’s safety was his top priority.
On top of that, Wilma had never liked Rachel. She had always believed Rachel was the reason Tyler and Sheryn didn’t end up together. Right now, with her emotions running wild, seeing Rachel might only make things worse. She might even drag Rachel down with her.
Tyler couldn’t make up his mind.
“No! You know how my aunt feels about you. For all we know, this whole stunt was just to lure you in.”
