Rachel saw the message and finally let out a sigh of relief.

She had been worried that Tyler’s mind worked too fast for its own good and that he might stir up more unnecessary trouble.

Rachel was about to gather her files and head back to her apartment when she ran straight into William.

Her brows instantly furrowed. She didn’t even want to look at this man, and her first instinct was to walk around him and leave.

However, William blocked her path.

Irritated, Rachel shot him a glance.

“William, we’re already divorced. You’re back together with Samantha, and I’ve already given you two my blessing. What more do you want from me?”

William frowned and grabbed Rachel’s wrist, and demanded, “Rachel, are you insane? For my uncle, you’re actually willing to throw away everything you have?”

Rachel’s eyes widened in shock. “Have you been following me?”

“Do I even need to? It doesn’t take much digging to find out. You and the Lloyd family are already at odds, Yvette even hired a hitman to kill you before, and now you’re planning to let the person who wanted your life walk free?

William clenched his jaw, fury boiling inside.

“Rachel, are you out of your mind?!”

He clenched his fists hard, and his knuckles turned white.

He thought Rachel’s relentless devotion back when she was with him, from running projects to chasing clients, was already proof of how deeply she loved him. He was certain that kind of love meant she could never give it to another man.

That was why, even after she got together with Tyler, he hadn’t rushed to stop her. He knew her too well. She must have only been with Tyler to get back at him and to hurt him in return.

What he hadn’t expected, though, was that she would go this far for Tyler. She was willing to use the entire Lloyd Enterprise to support him.

Rachel couldn’t help but laugh. She didn’t feel like she was being foolish at all. On the contrary, she felt this was the most worthwhile choice she had ever made.

“William, you’re the one who’s lost it. What are you to me now? What I choose to do is none of your business!”

She brushed past him, ready to leave.
