Chapter 802
While the two were talking, they didn’t pay attention to Sunny and Ray at all. By the time they realized it, Ray was already playing with Summy.
Rachel let out a sigh of relief when she saw that the two dogs weren’t fighting.
Just moments ago, she was worried about what she’d do if Sunny couldn’t get along with Ray,
In that case, she’d have no choice but to move out for the time being. She had finally reunited with Sunny after so long and absolutely didn’t want to be separated again.
Now that the problem with Sunny was resolved, there was something else Rachel needed to discuss with Tyler.
“I saw Cecilia today. She told me something.”
“What is it?”
Tyler bent down to pat Sunny’s head. Instead of shying away, Sunny leaned into his hand.
Rachel clicked her tongue. “Unbelievable! When I first took her in, she wouldn’t let anyone touch her. Even my coworkers had to spend a long time getting close before she warmed up to them. But with you, this isn’t just friendliness anymore. She’s being downright affectionate.”
Tyler scratched Sunny’s chin, and she closed her eyes in bliss.
“Probably because she knows I’m your future husband. We’re family, after all. Dogs are smart like that.”
Rachel stayed quiet. She hadn’t thought that far ahead yet.
Tyler noticed her silence but didn’t push it. Instead, he circled back to Cecilia.
“So what were you saying about Cecilia? What happened?”
“Cecilia said she was diagnosed with liver cancer. Mid–to–late stage. I was wondering if you knew any reputable doctors. Maybe we could take her to another hospital for a second opinion.
“What if it’s a misdiagnosis?”
Tyler frowned without realizing it.
“If she went to a major hospital, the results are probably accurate. Still, I’ll reach out and see if I can find the right doctor.”
“Okay. Then, I’ll leave this in your hands. Please make it quick. Cecilia hates procrastination, and the longer she waits, the harder it’ll be on her.”
Rachel never imagined Cecilia would face something like this. Her life had already been so hard. Why couldn’t fate let her catch a break?
Tyler knew Rachel had to be feeling down, but he was also glad he’d brought Sunny along today. Otherwise, her mood would have been even worse.

He glanced at his watch.
“Go shower and get some rest. We’ll deal with Cecilia’s situation tomorrow.”
“You go first. I’ll just lie down for a bit. I’m exhausted.”
Rachel nudged Tyler toward the bathroom. The truth was, she had something more important to discuss with Jerry, but that was something Tyler could never find out about.
Tyler didn’t overthink it. Before stepping inside, he reminded her, “Keep an eye on those two.”
