Tyler looked at his watch, the warm light shining down on his side profile. His jawline, as sharp as a knife’s edge, his eyes dark and unfathomable.

“Yvette Lloyd, you can doubt evidence that comes from other people, but this evidence comes from my sources. Even if you hire the best lawyer in Yurelia City, let me tell you this—it’s useless.”

Yvette almost collapsed out of fright. She clearly knew what Tyler was capable of. If it were anyone else, she might still stand a chance to escape.

Rachel has been merciful and kind enough to you, but you’re so ungrateful and repaid her kindness with evil by slandering her.”

Yvette shook her head profusely. “I didn’t slander her! Rachel, you’ve got to believe me. I really didn’t say anything.”
