Chapter 846
“Thanks,” Rachel replied.
The waitress immediately left with the menu. Rachel stared at Tyler through the phone and teased, ” I wasn’t expecting to meet one of your fangirls here.”
Tyler was skimming through a document. When he heard what Rachel said, he shrugged. “Is that my fault?”
He rested his chin on one hand. His gaze was locked on Rachel.
“But from what I see, you don’t seem to mind all that much.”
Rachel pouted. “That’s not true.”
Tyler cleared his throat. His voice dropped low with a trace of seriousness.
“Alright, enough joking. About that doctor, how confident are you that you can get him?”
Rachel froze for a moment, then smiled in embarrassment.
“Before I came, I thought maybe 60 or 70 percent. But after looking at his profile, I’d say more like 30. Maybe not even that.”
“That low?” Tyler sounded surprised. “You usually tackle things with so much drive. This is the first time I’ve seen you so discouraged.”
Rachel sighed. “Once you understand the situation, you’ll know why I’m this anxious.”
“Check your inbox later.” Tyler’s fingers tapped steadily on the keyboard. His gaze was focused.
Rachel’s laptop was right next to her, so she opened her email immediately. What she saw shocked her. There was detailed information about Elias, from his childhood all the way to his current state.
The more she scrolled, the more stunned she became.
“Where did you even get all this?”
She had originally planned to ask Mark to dig into the doctor’s background, but Mark had said his family’s privacy measures were too tight. There was nothing extra to be found. Rachel had tried herself, too, and came up empty–handed.
Yet somehow, Tyler had managed to get it all.
Tyler twirled his pen between his fingers with practiced ease. “Don’t worry about where it came from. Just use it to finish your job and get back here quickly.”

He didn’t feel at ease leaving Rachel abroad, even with Yale and Jerry nearby. He had heard Howard was overseas too, though for treatment.
What worried him was Rachel taking too long. If Howard found out, things would get messy.
But Tyler kept that from her, not wanting to pile on her anxiety when she already had to persuade the doctor to help her. It would be tough if she had to avoid Howard at the same time.
If it weren’t for the screen between them, Rachel would’ve kissed him right then and there. Her eyes sparkled with excitement.
“When I get back, I’m treating you to a big meal.
“Why wait until then? How about paying up right now?”
Rachel knew Tyler all too well. The man had no shame. He’d kiss and hug her in public without a second thought.
She was about to stop him when Tyler suddenly leaned closer to the camera.
