Chapter 865

All the Zieglers were dumbfounded. None of them dared to say a word.

Rachel thought they had done all they could, and there was no point arguing further with them. She believed justice would prevail, and people had eyes to see for themselves.

The Zieglers couldn’t have been ignorant of the things Howard had done over the years. They were simply trying to make excuses for him by speaking up and defending him.

Rachel held Tyler’s arm. We’ve said all we wanted to say. Think whatever you want.

With that, they made a move to leave.

Suddenly, Miguel called out to Tyler.

Mr. Hunt, please wait.

Tyler stopped in his tracks and turned to look at Miguel.

Is there anything else?

Miguel didn’t look as haughty or arrogant as he did at the beginning. In fact, he looked strung out and listless.

Would you please consider showing Howard mercy, on account of his father? He’s the only son of the family. If he got jailed, the Ziegler family would be done for!

Tyler scoffed.

You Zieglers really place too much importance on Howard being the only descendant of the family. He’s clearly a useless goodfornothing. Why must your family insist on handing the family business to someone who’d only squander the family wealth? Don’t you know that’s exactly what he’ll do when you give him all of the family’s assets?

But Mr. Ziegler’s final instruction was to hand the family business to Howard. We can’t go against his final wish,Miguel said with a pained look.

Tyler broke his usual rule of never butting into other people’s business.

I’m usually not a busybody, but regarding this, I really think you should think twice about it. Ask yourselves, is there no one else suitable to inherit the family business? I’m sure that’s not necessarily true.

Miguel rubbed his chin and pondered Tyler’s question. What Tyler said did make sense.

Everyone knew clearly that if Howard took over the family business, he would squander it all in no

Time.

Miguel looked at Tyler with gratitude in his eyes. Thank you for the suggestion, Mr. Hunt. We were too agitated just now and might have hurt you two. I apologize on behalf of everyone here.

It’s good that we made things clear. It doesn’t matter whether you apologize or not. Howard is your family, and I’m sure you know better what he’s capable of. What’s more, Mr. Ziegler is no longer around. Howard will soon be convicted of his crimes. The rest of you can discuss your affairs among yourselves.

There’s no need to be so inflexible and insist on following Mr. Ziegler’s final instruction without further thought. Come to think of it, he wasn’t the only one who contributed to the growth of the Ziegler family business. Generations of your ancestors poured their blood and sweat into it, too.

Tyler’s words made something click in Miguel’s mind. It felt as though a veil was lifted from his eyes. A smile stretched across his face once more.
