Mr. Wagner’s face turned pale. He trembled as he looked from his left hand to his right.

William straightened his pants and crouched in front of Mr. Wagner, then looked coldly at the man’s hands.

“You don’t know? Even better. We’ll cut off both.”

Mr. Wagner looked up. His lips trembled violently, and his teeth chattered as he stammered, “N–No, please, Mr. Lewis! I didn’t know she was Mr. Hunt’s girlfriend! Aren’t we friends? How much money do you want? I’ll give it to you. Please just let me go.”

William chuckled coldly and brushed his fingers against his brows. “You’ve got a real problem here, Mr. Wagner. The woman you tried to touch is my ex–wife. Do you think you can walk away from this?”

Mr. Wagner’s eyes went wide with shock. “What? She’s your ex–wife?”

That was when it hit him. Years ago, William’s messy divorce had been the talk of the entire city.

Later, William married Samantha. During that time, his ex–wife just vanished. She hadn’t been seen in years.

Mr. Wagner eventually forgot about it.

He made a fatal mistake by mixing up the women. All he thought about was Lloyd Enterprise, and he ended up confusing Yvette with Rachel.

Slapping himself hard on the head, he muttered, “Darn it! I had too much to drink and got them mixed up.” He then collapsed to his knees. “Mr. Lewis, I swear it was the alcohol. I wasn’t trying to hurt her!” “Telling me won’t help. Beg Mr. Hunt instead.” William stood and looked at Yale. “Ask him again which hand he used. If he can’t answer, cut them both off.”

With that, William walked out of the room.

Thankfully, no matter how loud it got inside, no one outside could hear a thing.

Tyler carried Rachel straight to the hospital. Away from that place, she finally began to relax.

When she saw that Tyler was still tense, she said, “I’m fine. No need for the hospital. It’s just a few scratches.”

“It’s better to do a full check–up. That’s the only way I’ll be at ease.”

He emphasized the last few words.

Rachel knew she couldn’t win against him and gave up arguing.

At the hospital, Tyler called over Xavier and instructed him, “Give her a complete examination. Every injury must be treated properly.”
