Chapter 893
“Because in my heart, there’s only one perfect girl. No one else could ever measure up. Everyone else always felt like they were missing something.”
Tyler said it with a face full of pride. He wasn’t the slightest bit embarrassed that he hadn’t dated much in his
life.
Rachel almost melted at his words. She cupped his face in both hands.
“From now on, if anyone dares say Mr. Hunt doesn’t know how to sweet–talk, I won’t believe it.”
“I only sweet–talk you. No one else deserves it.”
He leaned his forehead gently against hers.
Rachel instinctively rested her hand on her belly. “What about our baby? Doesn’t it deserve it too?”
“Of course,” he said with mock reluctance. “Guess I’ll just have to make an exception for one more.”
Tyler’s gaze lingered on Rachel’s fair skin. Her cheeks were tinged with a faint blush. His grip tightened around her slim waist, and his brows furrowed.
“Looks like Wanda needs to start feeding you more. You’re way too thin.”
His eyes dropped instinctively toward her collarbone, and his voice became teasing and drawn–out.
“Though, in some places, you’ve still got curves where they matter.
Rachel was no naive girl. She caught his undertone instantly. She shoved at him with reddened cheeks.
“Tyler, what’s gotten into you? I never knew you could talk like this. You’re so cunning!”
He wasn’t holding back at all tonight.
Looking at his cold, aloof features, and the kind of face that normally kept people at a distance, it was hard to believe such flirty words were rolling off his tongue so easily.
Rachel thought if he kept this up, she really might lose control.
She braced her hands on the desk to stand, but Tyler’s hands gripped her waist and pressed her back down.
“Stay a little longer.”
“I’m not staying. You’re never serious. Weren’t you planning to pull an all–nighter? Drink your coffee and get to
work.”
She even slid the cup of coffee closer to him, but Tyler turned his head away.
Rachel gave him a puzzled look. Was he not planning to stay up after all?
Tyler took her hand, gently set the cup back on the table, and said with a raspy voice, “Don’t feel like drinking coffee right now. I want something else.”

Chapter 893
Rachel didn’t catch the shift in his gaze. Her mind went blank, thinking he was just hungry.
“If you’re hungry, I’ll have Wanda fix you something.”
“No. What I want is right here.”

Before she could react, he leaned in and kissed her firmly. Rachel’s lips were still faintly sweet from the jasmine tea she had sipped after dinner, and Tyler’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he tasted it.
The warm light in the study illuminated their intertwined silhouettes.
