Rachel glanced at the gate. “Didn’t you drive her away?”
William lowered his head and mumbled under his breath, “She told you all about it.”
Rachel crossed her arms before her chest and looked calmly at him.
“William, is there even a need for her to tell me about it? Anyone with eyes can see. You used to treat me as Samantha’s replacement, and now you’re treating Winnie as my replacement? Do you have a screw loose?”
Rachel looked at William, her eyes filled with scorn and disdain.
William fell silent.
Rachel wasn’t planning on saying all these things to William. They were already divorced and technically had nothing to do with each other.
However, she couldn’t bear to see Winnie become the next her. There were things she had to make clear.
“Go back and think about it. Do you really like her as a person and her character, or do you like her appearance? Everyone in this world is made unique. No one should be anyone else’s replacement.
“Not only do your actions humiliate yourself, but they also humiliate others. If you don’t like Winnie and you’re just treating her as a replacement, you should let her go!”
William clenched his fists, his jawline tense as indignation flashed past his eyes.
“If you had been willing to be with me again, I wouldn’t have stooped to this!” he retorted.
“Things are impossible between us,” Rachel repeated herself. “You don’t actually love me. If you really did, you wouldn’t have hurt me because of someone else. You’re just obsessed. You’ve been doing well after all those years we were divorced. I didn’t see you trying to take your life for no reason.”
Rachel’s words rendered William speechless.
Just then, Zelda walked out and saw Rachel and William standing next to each other. A strange look crossed her
face.
Rachel could sense Zelda’s presence and left William with a warning.”
Think about what I said.”
With that, she turned around and left. When she walked past Zelda, she nodded politely at Zelda.
Thomas soon called William back to the hall when he heard that Winnie had run out crying. He pointed a finger at William and yelled, “William, what exactly is going on in that head of yours?! How many times do you want to get married before you’re satisfied? You’re thoroughly embarrassing our family!”
“That’s right, William. You have to think carefully about the kind of woman you’re looking for. You really can’t afford to find another two–faced woman like Samantha.” Zelda scoffed. “Back then, I knew she was trouble when I first saw her. I’ve seen my fair share of people, and I could tell in one glance that she was no good.”

Thomas‘ face flushed red with anger as he pointed at William, his shoulders shaking.
“I’m warning you! Either stay with the lady you brought home today, or take a break from relationships for the time being. Take the time to consider the kind of woman you want.”
