Chapter 937
It was true that his company couldn’t afford to lose LS Enterprise as a partner.
Tyler didn’t give him a chance to refute his claims. “We either sign the contract according to its original terms, or you accept my new ones.”
Mr. Lambert agreed to it in less than two minutes.
“Mr. Hunt, we’ll sign the contract according to its original terms. I was wrong to have asked for a last–minute change. I hope it won’t affect our cooperation moving forward.”
Tyler looked up as he received the contract from the head of his law department and signed his name on the dotted line.
“The premise of our collaboration is mutual respect. I hope you’ll remember that next time, Mr. Lambert.”
Mr. Lambert had the nerve to feel ashamed of being pointed out like this, but had no choice except to force himself to smile.
After sending Mr. Lambert off, the head of the project team heaved a sigh of relief as he turned to look at Tyler with admiration in his eyes.
“Mr. Hunt, you were so impressive just now. We were all so anxious, we would have been led by the nose by Mr. Lambert. Yet, you turned the tables with just a few words.”
“It’s less about sentiments and more about true abilities and boundaries,” Tyler said as he handed the signed contract to Yale. “Make sure the law department follows up closely with the technical connection between both companies and that nothing goes wrong. Also, inform the finance department to tidy up the cost breakdown of the earlier phase of our investment. We’ll settle accounts with Harvest Enterprise next week.”
Tyler walked toward the full–length windows and looked at the bustling traffic downstairs as he pulled out his phone to text Rachel.
[I’m done here, and I’ll be home soon. Rest well.]
By the time Rachel woke up, it was already past six in the evening. Coincidentally, Cecilia was calling her.
She sat up on the bed and quickly swiped to answer the call.
“Hello, Cecilia? I’m so sorry, I was busy visiting the Lewis family with Tyler today and haven’t had the time to reply to your texts.”
“It’s fine. Dr. Elias gave me a special two–hour break today. Should we go to the mall? Let’s go check out some infant clothes.”
“Sure, no problem at all.”
Rachel was feeling quite bored with nothing to do after waking up.
She used to be so busy, but things were different now. Somehow, she felt like she couldn’t do anything after getting pregnant, what with Tyler refusing to let her step in at work.

Chapter 937
It felt arduous having to count down the hours every day.
Cecilia paused for a moment before asking, “Shall I book a taxi and come fetch you?”
“No need, I can drive by myself,” Rachel said as she threw off the sheets.

“Huh? You want to drive there by yourself? Isn’t that way too dangerous? I’d better get a taxi and fetch you. Mr. Hunt will kill me if anything happens to you!”
“It’s fine. He’s at work now and will only be back at night. I’m driving, not walking there. There’s nothing dangerous about that.”
This was exactly what Rachel was worried about: That they would all become jumpy and overreact just because she was pregnant.
It was ultimately inevitable.
Cecilia still felt worried. “How about I get Jerry to go fetch you? I’m worried about you coming here alone.”
Rachel agreed, finally giving in to Cecilia.
Coincidentally, Jerry was free and came over to send Rachel to the mall. Wanda was worried about Rachel heading out, but finally dared to allow her to do so when she saw Jerry coming to fetch her.
