“No, thank you,” Jerry said with a wave of his hands. “Mr. Hunt has something else arranged for me. I need to head back.”
“Alright, stay safe on the road.”
Cecilia grabbed Rachel’s arm. “Let’s go shopping!”
Rachel lifted a hand and tucked a loose lock of hair behind Cecilia’s ear. “How do you feel now? Is your health in a better state recently?”
“I feel much better, at least compared to how it was before. It’s all thanks to Dr. Elias, whom you managed to find. Even my attending doctor told me it was a pity he didn’t remain as a doctor.

“Indeed. He’s a talent in his field, and it’s a pity he’s not working as a doctor anymore. I’ve read about his amazing stories, and he’s truly one of a kind. I hope he’ll return to the medical profession after your case.”
The two of them headed straight for the baby store on the second floor.
Rachel had never been interested in baby apparel and necessities. To be honest, she didn’t think she really
adored children.
However, ever since she became pregnant, she developed a sudden interest in these things.
When she saw a pink stroller, she hurriedly dragged Cecilia over to take a closer look.
“Cecilia, look! This looks good. The blue one looks good, too!”
Cecilia leaned over and nodded with a smile. “It does look very good. You looking through all these things is a
completely different sight from how you used to hide far away when our colleagues appeared with their children.

“I finally know how it feels now that I’m pregnant,” Rachel said as she caressed her lower abdomen with a smile on her face. “All I want is the best for my baby. Oh yes, do you want to pick some clothes for your two children? We’re in between seasons now.”
As Rachel spoke, she turned around to grab a pair of infant socks and accidentally elbowed someone behind her.
“Oh, no!”
A piercing shriek rang in the air as a pregnant lady wearing a beige dress stumbled back. A shopping bag fell from her arms, and a formula milk can rolled out.
“Are you blind?!”
The woman’s face was dark with displeasure. She held her stomach and yelled at a volume that attracted the attention of everyone in the store.
“I’m pregnant, you know? Can you bear the consequences if something happens to me?”

Rachel immediately bent over to pick up the tin can and said apologetically, “I’m sorry, I didn’t realize you were behind me. Are you fine? Do you need to sit down for a while?”
“Fine?”
The woman pushed Rachel’s hand away, and the tin can crashed on the floor once more.
“This child is a precious grandchild of my family, and you think you can get away with it just by saying sorry? This formula milk powder was imported from overseas, and each can costs a few hundred dollars. Compensate me for it! My dress was custom–made overseas, and you sullied it. It costs me a hundred thousand dollars, you know that?”
Cecilia’s brows furrowed, and she stood protectively in front of Rachel. “Madam, don’t go too far. My friend didn’t do it on purpose, and your dress didn’t get dirty. Must you be so demanding?”
“Who are you? Are you able to help her compensate me or something?”
The woman looked disdainfully at Cecilia.
“You two are so shabbily dressed, and you’re still here shopping for things despite being unable to afford them. Or are you scammers trying to take advantage of shoppers here? I’m telling you, my husband manages this entire mall. Don’t even think about leaving until you pay up!”
The salespeople around them tried to step in to mediate, but they stopped in their tracks when the woman glared at them. She was clearly used to being a tyrant. No one dared to provoke her.
