Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 818

When those three years came up, Adelle’s eyes darted away, guilt flickering across her face.

Her expression stiffened. “He was just a kid back then. It’s only natural he doesn’t remember how good I was to him.”

Yeah, she thought, he was so little, there’s no way he’d remember much from back then…

That thought gave her a tiny bit of comfort, and her face relaxed a fraction.

“Right now, what really matters is figuring out where Susanna is,” she said, her voice tense. “If Mr. Miguel comes looking for her, he won’t care if she’s with us or if Dan’s got her.”

As long as she’s with someone from the Murray family, Black Gate… well, that’s a whole heap of trouble.

Speaking of which…

Derek’s anger only grew. “That damn son of mine!”

“I’ll call Finch and tell him to get back here,” Adelle muttered.

Derek just grumbled, even more irritated. Dan was brutal and rebellious, but honestly, Finch was just as much of a headache. Handing Black Gate over to him didn’t seem like such a great option either.

Yvonne and Xander had just heard that Hull was on his way to Litamark.

Great, just great…

Now they were convinced Susanna had been taken by someone from Black Gate, so they jumped in their car and headed straight for Blacktower.

They’d already tried getting Susanna back from Dan with no luck, so now they were ready to tear through the whole Murray family if that’s what it took.

“What did I do in a past life to deserve running into that bastard Dan?” Yvonne fumed.

Xander tried to calm her down. “Well, at least we already trashed his hideout.”

“That’s nowhere near enough,” Yvonne snapped, still fuming.

Just thinking about Dan drugging her made her blood boil.

Was she crying over Susanna?

Yvonne started to stammer. “Come on, it’s not that bad. We’ve been through worse, right? And I’ve already warned the Murray family—no one’s gonna lay a finger on Susie, trust me.”

She would’ve cut her own heart out to reassure Stella right then.

But Stella burst into tears anyway.

Yvonne stared at her phone in shock.

Wait—what? Was it really that bad?

Stella sniffled, “No, it’s not about Susie.”

Yvonne blinked. “What?”

If it wasn’t about Susie, then what could possibly have happened to make Stella cry like this? “Then what is it? Tell me who’s made you upset, and I’ll make sure they regret it.”
