Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 819

Stella was sobbing so hard on the phone that Yvonne worried she might actually make herself sick.

Yvonne kept trying to calm her down, but nothing worked today. “Come on, sweetheart, please stop crying. I swear, if I have to, I’ll march right over to the Murray family and turn their whole house upside down!”

Seriously, what the hell was going on?

Someone had taken Susanna, and it had her little sister this worked up—Yvonne just couldn’t stand it.

But Stella shook her head, voice trembling. “It’s not about Susie.”

“Then what the heck happened to get you like this?” Yvonne was getting anxious now.

Stella sniffled. “I… I just got a package.”

“What kind of package? Who sent it? What was in it?”

Stella’s voice was barely a whisper. “It was a pregnancy test.”

Yvonne blinked. “Wait… what?!”

Stella’s voice cracked. “It was positive. Two lines.”

Yvonne was lost. “Uh… what does that mean?”

She’d never been pregnant herself, so all this was totally over her head.

Stella let out a shaky breath. “It means I’m pregnant.”

Yvonne tried to process. “You’re pregnant? Well, that’s… normal, right?”

Stella shook her head. “No, it’s the person who sent the package!”

And just like that, Stella started crying all over again.

Yvonne felt her brain short-circuiting. She needed a minute to piece this all together.

So… the sender was pregnant, and sent the test to Stella? What was that supposed to mean?

Wait a minute…

Oh my God.

“Holy crap, Star, you have to believe me—this wasn’t me, and I swear I had nothing to do with it!”

Next to her, Xander nearly choked. What the hell did she mean by that? Not that it could’ve been her, but even if it was—she wasn’t the pregnant one, and it wasn’t like she’d send that to Stella!

Plus, even if she was pregnant, why would that make Stella cry like this?

Stella just sobbed harder.

Who the hell would do something like this? Stella was pregnant with triplets, and now someone was trying to rattle her? Clearly, some families in Yoreland just couldn’t let things go.

They always acted so proper and polite, but behind the scenes, they were pulling crap like this.

Yvonne’s eyes narrowed. “Trust me, there’s no way my brother would do something like that. If the woman wanted to prove something, she would’ve sent you amniotic fluid, not just a dumb pregnancy test. This means nothing.”

“R-really?” Stella sniffled.

“Of course! Come on, Star, you know how much my brother loves you—no way he’d cheat on you.”

There had always been plenty of women with their eyes on Ronald, but none ever even got close.

So now, since they couldn’t have him, they cooked up this little stunt?

“What if… what if it really is his?” Stella was still sniffling, voice barely above a whisper.

Yvonne was firm. “There is no ‘what if’!”

“…”

“And even if there was, you’ve got me. I’ll move in with you and we’ll live our own lives—no guy is ever going to mess with us.”

Yvonne said it with total conviction, while Xander, sitting beside her, just looked like he’d swallowed a lemon.
