Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 829

Something huge had just happened at home—and right when Stella was pregnant with triplets. Seriously, could things get any more overwhelming?

Lottie had missed Stella like crazy these past two years she’d been away. She’d sworn to herself that once Stella was back, she’d never let anyone hurt her again.

But who could have guessed that someone would have the guts to mess with Stella in the Quinn family’s own home?

Ronald was gently coaxing Stella to eat something.

Now that he was back, Stella finally looked a little more settled. Lottie said, “You really shouldn’t go out for a while.”

Whoever sent that nasty package had timed it perfectly for when Ronald was out of town. It was obvious—whoever was behind this had been watching Ronald, and their intentions were downright malicious.

Ronald asked, “So... should I still be sleeping in the guest room?”

Ever since Lottie got back, she’d been insisting that Ronald and Stella sleep separately, just to be safe. With Stella carrying three babies, she didn’t want to risk a thing.

But after what just happened...

“Forget it. You stay with her,” Lottie said. There was no way she’d risk leaving Stella vulnerable again.

For all she knew, one of the dozens of staff in this mansion had already been bribed to spy on them.

Ronald and Stella barely had a moment to themselves before outside troublemakers started plotting against them! If Ronald and Stella really did sleep apart, who knows what else those creeps would try next?

No, Lottie decided—it was time to get to the bottom of this.

She marched off to the study with the butler in tow.

“Find out who’s behind this,” Lottie ordered, her voice sharp.

If she discovered any staff had switched sides, well, she wasn’t about to go easy on them.

The butler nodded, his expression serious. “Don’t worry, ma’am. I’ve already started looking into it.”

He’d known the minute that nasty package showed up that this was no ordinary incident. Especially since nothing like this had ever happened before—until Ronald stepped out of the house for a work trip, and suddenly someone tried something so vile.

Lottie said, “From now on, keep a close eye on all packages and mail—especially anything for Stella and Ronald.”

“Yes, ma’am. Consider it done.”

“Dude, what the heck? I’ve been calling you and you had your phone off!” Yvonne’s voice blared through the receiver.

The first time she called, Idris answered. The second time, straight to voicemail.

“I was on a flight,” Ronald replied, voice low.

Of course—Yvonne had probably called while he was in the air.

“Oh my god, you have no idea what’s been going on at home, do you?” Yvonne exclaimed.

“Hm?”

“Stella called me, bawling her eyes out! What the hell is happening over there? You haven’t had a single woman around in years, and now something like this happens?”

“Idris told you what’s going on, right?” Ronald asked. “I’m already back. Stella’s a mess.”

Because Stella had been crying so hard.
