Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 830

Since things like this kept happening, Yvonne found herself distracted whenever she had to deal with the Murray family.

Ronald called her up. “I’m home.”

“What? You’re home already?” That was fast. “How’s Star doing?”

“She’s having dinner.”

Yvonne fell silent.

Having dinner? Already?

After everything that happened today, Star just forgave her big brother like that?

“She’s not crying anymore, is she?” Honestly, Yvonne was terrified of Star crying.

Ronald replied, “No, she’s eating pretty calmly.”

That finally put Yvonne at ease. If Star was calm enough to eat, then everything was probably okay.

She let out a breath. “That was a huge mess—you managed to calm her down that fast?!”

Was Star really that easy to comfort?

Ronald asked, “Any word on Susanna?”

Yvonne groaned. “Oh, could you not bring that up, please? Seriously, Ron, I’m begging you.”

Thinking about Susanna just made her want to pull her hair out. What a mess!

“At this point, I’m starting to think Susanna might’ve already been killed by the Murray family. But don’t you dare mention that to Star.”

Yvonne’s head pounded at the thought, and she couldn’t even say it out loud to anyone else. She was genuinely worried Star might have another breakdown if she heard it.

Ronald said calmly, “She’s not dead.”

“Not dead? Then why, after all the crap I’ve pulled, haven’t they given her back yet?”

Dan’s castle was practically reduced to rubble today. That kind of attack in Litamark was a huge threat, even for Black Gate.

Things were so chaotic at Black Gate, even Stella—who’d been trying not to get involved—couldn’t help but worry.

Ronald reassured her, “She’ll make it.”

But with Stella pregnant with triplets, everyone was worried a big wedding might be too much for her. They were even considering postponing the ceremony.

Meanwhile, back with Yvonne—

After hanging up with her brother, she paced back and forth in front of Xander, making him dizzy.

The next time she stormed by, Xander just grabbed her and pulled her into his arms. “What did your brother say, huh?”

Ever since the call, she’d been wound up and ready to explode.

Yvonne grumbled, “He thinks we haven’t been tough enough on Black Gate. He wants us to put the pressure on—really make them hand Susanna over.”

Xander considered that. “Put the pressure on, huh?” He grinned. “Now that’s more like it…”
