“Is this game really that much fun?” Tyler scoffed, watching Athena as she guided a little character through a puzzle on her tablet. “What’s the point of controlling a tiny person and solving riddles in some make-believe world?”
He reached over and took Athena’s hand, squeezing it in his own. “Come on, enough of this. Let’s go out for some drinks—that’s actually fun. Besides, didn’t Doris ask if you wanted to get back into acting? If you come out with me, you’ll get to meet some directors.”
“Tyler, I really don’t want to,” Athena replied quietly.
She’d always been the reserved type. If she hadn’t spent years stuck in the industry, she never would’ve forced herself into the spotlight.
A flicker of disappointment crossed Tyler’s face. He couldn’t shake the feeling that Athena didn’t care for him as much as he hoped.
They’d spent the past week together—dining out, sharing showers, wandering through gardens. It was the most peaceful, domestic stretch of his life, but now it was starting to feel a little stale. Tyler craved excitement, the lively chaos he’d always loved, and he wished Athena would change a bit for him.
But she refused.
Tyler didn’t press further. He leaned in, brushed a kiss across her cheek, and said, “I’m heading out to grab some drinks with Bert and the guys. I’ll be back late.”
“Okay,” Athena murmured, already returning her attention to the tablet, lost in her puzzle game.
Tyler’s mood didn’t improve on the drive over; his expression stayed stormy until he finally reached the private lounge.
Bert was first to tease him, grinning as Tyler walked in. “If you stayed home any longer, man, we’d have to start calling you Father Benedict!”
Tyler hadn’t forgotten the bet he’d made with these guys. He immediately flashed the luxury watch on his wrist.
Bert’s eyes lit up. “Wait, is that the one that cost… what, a million and a half?”
Tyler couldn’t hide a trace of smugness. “Yeah, it arrived fast, didn’t it? She never buys herself anything fancy, but didn’t bat an eye spending this much on me.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
When will get update?...
What is wrong that the author has not updated this novel in over a month or is there somewhere else that I can continue reading the novel from chapter 1951 upwards? Do tell, please. Thanks....
