Chapter 851
Chapter 851
Jonathan couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. From the phone, it was obvious the two of them were fighting,
“I heard Teresa say she didn’t trust you, and you didn’t trust her either, is there something going on between you two that I don’t know about?” Jonathan asked, his tone full of suspicion.
“It’s because of what happened with Yvonne before. She insisted on arguing with me, so I argued with her for a bit, Irene said, then quickly changed the subject.
“Why is Teresa pregnant with your child again? What’s going on here?” she pressed, her voice rising.
“It just happened, that’s all. There’s nothing to explain,” Jonathan replied, sounding dismissive.
Irene gritted her teeth and added, “Then send Mike over here. Teresa is in the hospital, and there’s no way I’m letting my precious grandson stay home and suffer by himself.”
“There’s a nanny taking care of Mike. Don’t worry about it,” Jonathan said, trying to brush her off.
“How can I not worry? I’ve never even had any alone time with Mike. I’m his Grandma. What kind of Grandma gets sidelined like this?” Irene complained, her voice full of frustration.
Jonathan frowned and said, “I need to talk to her about it. We’ll see if she says yes.”
He remembered all too well how Teresa had lost it on him when he’d sent Michael to his house without asking her first. Jonathan hadn’t forgotten that.
“Who are you talking to? Teresa? Why do you have to check with her when I want to see my grandson?” Irene demanded.
“She’s the mom, so I have to ask her. End of story,” Jonathan said firmly, then hung up and headed back to the hospital room.
Teresa had no idea he’d just been on the phone with Irene. She found herself apologizing to him again.
“The doctor just talked to me for a long time. I’m sorry. I almost messed everything up this time,” she said, her voice full of guilt.
“We did come close. We almost lost our second baby before he even had a chance to be born,” Jonathan replied, his tone serious.
“I know, okay? Just stop,” Teresa replied, cutting him off. ‘It’s not like I did it on purpose. I already feel awful about it,‘ she thought, guilt weighing heavily on her.
Jonathan walked over to her. “My mom just called. She said she wants to have Mike over for a few days.”
“What? No way! Absolutely not!” Teresa shouted, her emotions flaring up again.
Teresa immediately lost her composure again, cutting him off. “If you even think about sending Mike to your mom’s, I’m walking out of this hospital right now,” she cried.
Jonathan strode over and held her back, stopping her from getting out of bed. “Alright, I get it. I didn’t send him. I’m discussing this with you,
aren’t I?”
Teresa looked at him, her eyes pleading. “Can you please bring Mike here? I want him by my side.”
“You need to rest right now. I’ll make sure Mike’s taken care of, so don’t worry.”
Teresa stared at him, her voice firm. “Don’t you dare send Mike to your mom’s place. If you do, I swear I won’t let this ga
